if we could combine baracks health care plan with ron pauls government spending& tax policy, hillary's government transparency policy, mike gravels war on drug policy, and dennis kucinich's iraq war policy we would have one hell of a president! So far Barack has my vote
What i love about barack is he's a thinker. He reasons extremely well. If hes against something he articulately states why. If i had to vote right now i vote barack but i have to do more research on ALL the cnadidates inlcuding the republican candidates. Im independent
It is a shame to see our president vice president senators and congressman plegging en there nice loyalty to Israel!!!!Big Shame!!!!!Disgrace for America!!!!!
I know but think about the politics of the american eceonomy in Washington. There is big spending from Israel they are frightened in the White House about that.
"...and every single year the VA comes in and asks for less money than they need." Sadly, so true! I hope that Obama can end Operation Slowdown in federal agencies.
Can someone please tell me, why Obama thinks pulling the troops out right away would be dangerous? I know a lot of people say this. But I'm unsure why that is? I just heard him say something about this in the video.
By all accounts, it seems that Iraq IS ALREADY another Rwanda-like conflict. I support Senator Obama, but my question is, if we pull out, what of the power vacuum ? would we wait for a stronger Iraqi government ? I staht why a President Obama would be so eager to engage Iran and Syria more aggresevely ??
Logistically, removing all +130,000 troops requires that some troops remain. It's a tragedy in U.S. history that in the 21st century, our information society wasn't able to give most Americans more details about the scope of a large invasion into a country 10,000 miles away.
Well the problem is the information age. We as individuals dont like to think. We should have been looking at this from an outlook of reason. Not one of information. Remember if you have a whole bunch of facts that tell a perspective on an issue, those same facts can tell a polar opposite perspective if assembled accordingly!
This is why our reasoning should be used to asses a conglomeration of facts instead of just trying to pile on the facts.
Teachers need to get paid more... and so do police officers... Teachers spend 6 or more hours a day with our kids, they mold our young people,, they need to be paid better,, so the principals wont be so scared to discipline them, for fear of losing them...(shortage of teachers) Police Officers protect our communities, and get paid barely more than someone working at Wal-mart... that is so wrong!
I agree that teachers need to be paid better but only SOME, there are plenty of teachers around that do nothing but hand out worksheets printed from the web of just borrowed from other teachers they try in no way to get kids interested in what they teach, i don't think the answer will be to just right out pay them more.
Way to go Georgia, with the whole lottery money going to education thing! New Hampshire was supposed to do that too. buuuuttt.... We are still waiting to see it happen....
In the video, Senator Barack Obama explains his Iraq War Policy well. I am more eager to vote for him than before, after seeing this video! Senator Barack Obama is a Great Uniter! I love the way that Senator Barack answers any of their questions about politics. He is good with people.
Actually his strategies are pretty well laid out in his book the Audacity of Hope. Sadly, soundbytes and 10 minute pieces on You Tube don't give someone enough time to really lay out such a complicated plan to fix such a complicated mess. The bad news? You have to read a little. It's a fast read though as it's very interesting and honest. So far, he has my vote. Which may not make my party very happy....sorry, but they have failed to provide a better choice.
you must be a very lazy person. Why don't you go to his barackobamadotcom and read his healthcare plan. Of the 3 leading Democrats, only Hillary doesn't have any healthcare plan out yet.
We're old enough to make up our minds. What I'm seeing here, I like very much. A decent family man. plus this Senator has lived his life for the people, even when he wasn't well known. Interestingly, he didn't have to take poverty trips as Edwards did after working for multi billion dollar Fortress Investments. Senator Obama worked w/ poor people & churches his whole life. You know a good man when you see him.
Ron Paul supporters do not realize that the GOP will never nominate an isolationist libertarian, nor would it necessarily be desirable to have a libertarian president. It's not my cup of tea. Barack represents to me a thoughtful, optimistic, and idealistic candidate, precisely what we need after the darkness and mudslinging of the last several decades.
pokersvage1: Did you know about how GWB bilked Houston taxpayers? Or his association with Kellogg, Root & Brown? Skull & Crossbones? Do you like a guy that would have thousands killed for his own personal agenda? I find Senator Obama to be real and he speaks to everyday people, like me. Not political double-speak. He wants to give the government back to the people as well as serve us, unlike dictator-decider GWB.
The Ron Paul supporters are so - arrogant, yeah, that's it. Dismissed.
The video rocks. Let's make a brilliant candidate the only choice at the Democratic Convention, Obamans! Take to the streets and stores with your 'Bama buttons and stickers, register Democrats so they can take part in the primaries. Remind everyone who's moved to update their voter registration. Be inspired, look for this on YouTube (no links allowed here) Barack Obama: Obama Santa Cruz "Drive-By" Event
I used to like Obama but the more I get to know him the more I grown inconfident about his lack of experience. His speeches can be very moving but that's it. It does not have depth meaning his policies are somewhat vague and nonspecific.
He does have a stand but the problem is that the US is used to some kind of dichotomy policy: you're either black or white, red state or blue state, Christian or non-Christian,...Their not used to seeing things grey (like the rest of the international community). It's time they get used to someone who is not willing to slam other candidates for the sake of it...
He has more elected time in the Senate then Senator Clinton. He got legislation passed to have police interegations video taped. He insured that veterans of war did not have to pay for meals while hospitalized due to war injuries. I find his policies very specific. Perhaps because I took some time to visit his Senate website and read "Audacity of Hope".
I had a great time with Barack. He was funny, interesting, and just very down-to-earth and let me just say that dinner was not on any script.... just sit down, eat, drink some wine, and chat away.... Barack is very simple and I am confident the American People will be very happy to see him in the White House as our President. He WILL NOT LET US DOWN! I guarantee you that!
Inspirational! They should put that in cards. "Here's your chance. Nobody's perfect, but he's likely the best chance you'll get for a regular guy who gives a shit - as your husband." They'd sell like hotcakes.
What an excellent format! I felt as though I joined these folks and Barack for dinner...and witnessed how genuine, interested and concerned the candidate is even to strangers. While informing the group, he also reveals a sense of humor that entertains the group, too. Super guy!
This guy definitely has charisma. He even seems to be thoughtful and smart. But those last two qualities exclude him from ever becoming president because we only elect the lowest common denominator idiot, so we don't have to feel too bad about how stupid we really are.
That's the precise reason Ireland has the same idiots voted back in. You have to think differently about the situation. And you have to believe he will win, that's the only way he has a chance.
What's the upside of that? It's not like more than 10% of Americans even know what the green line is or why 1967 is important. Regretfully this won't happen.
You couldn't sit and eat like that with any other candidate - that's something to really think about! This man can build a lot of bridges. Obama is a true American - he's for the people. I'm sure with him in office, things will get a lot better.
I hate 10 minute politics videos, but I'm intrigued by Obama and thought I'd maybe watch the first minute, but ended up watching the whole thing. Dare I think we at last have a genuine person as a candidate for president?
this was nice that is nice of him to have some normal americans eating with him he is soo down to earth and charismatic. i can really tell that he cares. there is an honesty that comes from him when he speaks.
I hope Barack does this same type of thing right here on YouTube. I suppose it would appear weak to the Iraqi people, and leave us more susceptible to attack as a nation. FEAR, too many people died anyway
yomaris07 4 years ago
Well, here's the real situation.
Technically, we are the only reason things are "held together" over there. Think of it this way:
Do you like a cop when he pulls you over? Most people would say no to that question.
Then, do you want all the cops to just leave? Most people would say no to that, as well.
Yes. They don't like the fact we're there, but they don't want us to leave. Because they know what will happen.
Another Rwanda.
