RANDY VAN WARMER recorded Sings Stephen Foster just before he was diagnosed with leukemia and died on 12th January 2004 age 48. His widow Susan has overseen this release and added as a bonus track a beautiful never before released solo recording of "Just When I Needed You Most" which was a worldwide smash HIT (USA no 4 and UK No 8) when it was released in 1979. His final album "Sings Stephen Foster" was released posthumously only in Japan.

Randy Vanwarmer was one of the very great songwriters of our time. He was just known by this song, wich he first heard on the radio while in a Taxi in New York. The driver didn't believe that his passenger was the author and singer. Randy's heart musta been full of love, sentimental feelings and compassion, how else can a man write something like this. One of the most wonderful pieces of music I believe. Randy died of leukemia in 2004 at age 48. This makes him unforgotten.
