I have one of these. In rough shape and from 1972 with a Briggs and Stratton 3.5hp. It is very tired however, it burns lots of oil, and fills up the air cleaner with oil from the PCV system.
ive done no end of these machines, finding a good base is the key then a good engine with a long shaft , the blades are expensive, a real pain getting the old ones off as well if they havent been touched for years. once done though keep it as youll regret it if you dont. good video and thanks for sharing.
yes good machine it's lasted thirty years and it will probably last at least another 15 years blades are getting hard to find though i just replaced the bolt on the link arm attached to the wheel with some random bolt and assorted washers, shame things are so disposable these days!
