  • This isn't actually portraying the Battle of the Wilderness, we're just demonstrating to the public what combat would be like if the two opposing armies met each other on the field of battle.

Also, us westerners are far more historically accurate than most eastern groups believe it or not!

  • if you dont like it DONT WATCH IT! The people in the WCWA enjoy what we do so stick it

  • I can't wait to attend this year! Been in two battles and my favorite part is taking a hit and flopping around like a fish out of water :P

  • Because there are so few reenactors here in Washington, we can't afford to be super picky about period correctness...everything's quite casual. There is a total of maybe about 200-300 military reenactors here, some even from Oregon and Idaho. We don't just want to blow stuff up, we have a love for history, just like you do. We just may not go to such extents to be period.

    Thanks!

  • Looks like they greased an Officer at 1:53

  • Teach the drummer to play or make him a courier.

  • i like civil war reenactments, its fun to watvh, and even more fun to be the one shooting

  • This is the farbiest shit I've seen in my life. It makes me want to quit reenacting...

  • left coast reenactments suck perffer mine in tennessee

  • Trash talker, eh?

  • I also think my group has a whole lot of very bad shots in the infantry.

  • I see very litte reenactor farb, it only comes out after 5:00 pm, i'm part of this group, i wans't at this one tho... :( I resent all of the remarks about westerners, i happen to be one!

  • Really you see nothing farby about this supposed depictment of the battle of the Wilderness? Not even the fact there are several shots of a Marine unit on the field? At the Wilderness.....but I guess it brings up the whole theory of if they had em they'd have used them right? "If the Marines were there they would have been used so its okay!"

  • FARB ALERT PEOPLE WEARING SUNGLASSES

  • not bad for a westerners' battle (no offense)

    good video :)

  • farb fest 2007

  • lol, most westerners are not interested in the war like us easterners, they just want to blow stuff up.

  • Wow this is the farbiest thing ever, there were people wearing sunglasses and a number of women, they didn't even try to hide the hair! One guy even bloused his trousers. ha ha ha ha farbs

  • well, blousing trouses comes and goes as a trend. a while ago, everyone did it. contemporary art from the time indicates they did but i haven't seen any period photos that suggest it.

  • union rules

  • Cool! I found this video by accident. I was delighted to see that it was a re-enactment of the Battle of the Wilderness. I had an ancestor who was wounded in that battle, and later died from the infection. He is now buried at Arlington Cemetry. Thanks for the video.

  • this is good, did a top noch job. here in oklahoma i reenact and there has been a few battles fought here but wasnt aware there had been any there.
