I find we get more light if the lamps are in a lot of sun, like almost a full days worth, i like the eco technology in the garden and there nice to look at night, and i agree that wires and transformers are no place for the garden esp. when hidden under the soil where they can easily be up rooted by shoveling!!

Wrong!!!! Wires and Transformers are for a Very Good reason. They put out enough light to see.
