does n one give a fuck about the fact that obama has served in washington less that 150 days and mccain has over 2000? or how about the fact that mccain has given his whole life basically to either serve in washington or in the armed forces? how about someone who has proven themselves?
Less than a 150 days? So I guess all the work as a Congressman for 12 years means nothing to you. I guess working as a Professor of Constitutional Law at the University of Chicago means nothing to you. And just because John McCain's story in the army is a gripping and terrible one, does not give him the qualifications to be Commander and Chief. If that was the measure of the suitability to the role, General Colin Powell or General Tommy Franks would have been over qualified.
first of all, he's only been a congressman for 11 years and 7 of those years, he was not in washington dealing with issues that affect everyone. second off all, being a teacher of law qualifies him to be a legislator at best, not neccessarily commander in chief. i would have preferred a more experienced leader period. hillary said that she and mccain have lifetimes of experience and all obama has is a speech he gave in 2003. since hillary wasnt in the race mccain shoulda been the obvious choice.
Hillary lost because she played the nomination like "If I'm not going to win, no Democrat will." McCain's nomination of Palin was a joke, he flipped flopped on every issue, his approval rate tanked. As JFK said himself to MacNamara when the Secretary of Defence said he wasn't qualified for the job: "Look Bob, there isn't a school for presidents either." Look, you can say 'McCain should of won' all you want. The right wing got clobbered and it was a landslide election. Just deal with it.
im actually neither right wing nor left wing thank you. im closer to an independent than anything and want much smaller government (opposite of obabma). i dont know why u mentioned palin. i personally didnt care for her. im simply voicing out of the 2 choices i had, although obama had the most charisma, he has the least experience from all the candidates. the reason he won is america is a bunch of undiscerning idiots and just liked obama's personality more not because they agreed w/his politics.
Wow you bought the republican line of they support the 'real' America, small towns, blue collar people and want government out of your lives and they are the ones to give it to you. When you look at it from an objective point of view, they have done nothing for the middle class, they have encroached on your freedoms, lied to you, pulled you into one war at least, dragged the US reputation through the dirt and shattered your economy...tell me what another round of Republicans will do.
America providing defence for Europe!! Is that man a lunatic!? We don't need America to defend us. America are in wars they started themselves. They are their own worst national security risk!! Since 1945 America has never done anything for altruistic motives. It is ONLY interested in its OWN well-being NOT the well-being of the world! This is pathetic stuff from McCain and his Republican idiot Brigade. Please elect someone who knows something about the rest of the world.. not another idiot.
Already on it, jamesocon1. Just as a reminder, though, the 2000 and 2004 elections were subject to massive voter fraud. I'm not excusing the multitude of dumb-asses in my country. I'm just pointing out that there are millions of reasonable, thinking people who live here, too.
As a Brit I understand where you're coming from about America and her own interests, but Europe was financially and militarily bankrupt at the end of WW2. If it wasn't for America and her own interests, money and manpower, the Soviets would have driven their tanks all the way to Lisbon, stopping you from enjoying free speech. America is the last best hope for the world and has been for the last 60 years, which is why I've been so angry with them for the last decade. Time for a change. Go Obama!
The Marshall plan was a good deal for Europe, but it helped the US as well."No such thing as a free lunch", Ancient US saying! As for Russians driving tanks into Lisbon!? No way. All Stalin wanted was to protect mother Russia, he wasn't interested in Empire beyond his spehere of influence.
The new Right Wing Republicans...Crybabies.
You lost the election, your ideas are bankrupt. Get a grip...get a life and go away.

Somebody give McCain a plate of Graham crackers and a glass of milk and put him to bed.
