  • Kudos on the build! It's great to see people taking charge of things and telling the big boys where to stick it. That being said, you were about 2 inches from a catastrophic accident. I know, you had everything under control. I was visualizing a HUGE "OH SHIT!!!"

  • Those little FZR 400's were the shizzle back in the day.

I'd give my left nug to have one of those little zippers.

  • that ratchet sound sounds familiar. I just got an etek motor and it sounds like that. are you using an etek motor too? :)

  • Cool! Well done, lets see it on the road in a video.

  • Ya i hope to get some video of it on the road sometime soon. I just haven't had the time with school and all. Thanks for your interest!

  • is it posibile to see bike in action ?

  • have u tried using a belt drive instead of chain?

  • Continued lol... Have you ever seen the killacycle on you tube yet...It's the fastest electric drag bike right now and it takes off like a rocket. Thats some of the best technology (in batteries) thats out right now. So that will give you an idea of what electric motorcycles are and will be capable of in the future... Like i said before gasoline vehicles have been around for over 100 years now and are essentially perfected. Very little time and effort has gone into electric cars comparatively...

  • To all you said:

    Too true...too true.....

  • My response continued...Do u even know the performance my bike has? Right now the bike is limited in power due to the voltage sag of the batteries. The controller and motor can take a lot more. It's about 25 horsepower right now but with lithiums or high performance AGMs it would be about 40hp. But you have to remember that this bike has instant torque, which no gas bike can match...Electric motorcycles/cars are in their infancy still and theres a lot of tech out right now thats not utilized...

  • why did you kill an fzr400? I was thinking about doing this, but I can't get over the loss of performace in an EV. I will wait till the HP numbers are distance move up on the engine(s) specs.

  • First of all i didn't kill it...it was already dead, the engine was broken down (the previous owner was a racer)with blown valves and a whole lot of assorted problems. It had been sitting in his garage collecting dust for 7 years. When i took the engine out of the bike it essentially fell apart. As for Performance...you gotta start somewhere or you'll get nowhere at all. But it makes you wonder... If i myself(18 y/o) can build this what could a large auto company with an army of engineers do?

  • make one with quieter gears :D

  • looks great... keep em coming as you do more work on the bike.

One of the best looking EM's out there.
