Because Valero's wife felt homesick, he and his family went back to Venezuela in 2008. Japanese boxing fans miss him.

im a pacquiao fanboy but i think he will put up a good fight for pacman and others becuz like redlighttraitor said hes sparred with big names and whooped them pretty good.I always thought valero sucks until i saw him sparr.Hes very smart boxer with power and some speed and hes got the balls to o toe to toe.
Although I do agree that Valero may not be ready for Pacquiao and the other elite boxers, he certainly IS the real deal. The proof is from the sparring videos with other undefeated prospects. He is fast, sharp, and does hit hard. He does get lazy at times in the ring during real fights but in sparring, he is 100% business.

im a pacquiao fanboy but i think he will put up a good fight for pacman and others becuz like redlighttraitor said hes sparred with big names and whooped them pretty good.I always thought valero sucks until i saw him sparr.Hes very smart boxer with power and some speed and hes got the balls to o toe to toe.

Although I do agree that Valero may not be ready for Pacquiao and the other elite boxers, he certainly IS the real deal. The proof is from the sparring videos with other undefeated prospects. He is fast, sharp, and does hit hard. He does get lazy at times in the ring during real fights but in sparring, he is 100% business.

it's not that he's avoiding anyone to fight it's just that he can't get good fights! no caliber fighter would fight him because it a waste of time and its not gonna produce money wise. i dont know why bob arum arranged a fight with him and pac.. for sure its just gonna be a tune up fight for something big>> much respect for valero but his reputation and name isn't that big compared to morales , barrera and marquez.

Valero will lose in his first 'real' step up in quality, be it against Gamboa/Pacman/Marquez, hell, Santa Cruz and David Diaz would beat him I think.
He should fight Katsidis. Then we'll see what he's made of. Personally, I think Katsidis takes him out in the first couple of rounds.
