I don't advocate animal abuse, but it seems that these days, people care more about an animal's well-being than they do about a human's. There are people all over the world dying of starvation and easily-preventable diseases and you all are gonna worry because of a DOG that's neglected or isn't given food? There are people in other countries who would eat these animals in a second to avoid their own starvation. I think there is a mistake in priorities here.

Animal testing isn't fair. Chocolate a delicious treat for humans deadly poison for most animals. Imagine if they discovered a drug that cured all cancers in rats but then killed the first human subject because it was deadly poisonous to humans. I think they should test on murders rapist, and especially child molesters. Due to drug use cancer is common among them as well as STD's it just makes since. I would rather test on and kill someone that brutally violated a 4 year old then a bunny rabbit.

I think testing on animals is fair, as I know someone who works with that job. The animals in Britain in labs for cancer research ARE NOT TREATED UNFAIRLY! That's what some animal rights activists (I understand not all) think. Animals are always put down if suffering. The benefits of animal testing is that it is safer than the less harmful ways-It's just the way things are. Animal Cruelty is another matter and it is sick. Why put animals in pain just for the sake of it?!

While people need to be aware of animal testing and animal testing must be restricted it cant be stopped. There has been quite recently a major breakthrough in repairing broken nerves due to animal testing on rats. I think the scientific community has done as much compromise as it can be expected to do. All though cosmetics departments can go screw themselves

Animals cannot speak for themselves --- we have to speak for them. Humans can speak up therefore I am more inclined to help animals than humans. Humans are not above animals but can communicate the pain they feel. Until animals can communicate I will support them above humans.

Why don't we test on the people on death row, who actually did something wrong? Stuff has to be tested on people anyway, before it goes to the general public. I honestly think we need to test on prisoners who are guilty, rather than innocent animals. Call me crazy, but I believe in justice.
