I really really like SVR 2011 but nothing beats HCTP. If svr 2011 had back stage fighting like HCTP where you could go anywhere it would have been a much cooler game.

The development of the stuff you could do on all the games before Smackdown Vs Raw was phenomenal of course. The graphics on the Smackdown VS Raw games though are bar none better than any of the earlier WWE games however. Was it a fair compromise? An even trade? I don't think so but I do believe in due time (and with some constructive criticism from the fans), THQ can and hopefully will find a way to bring both awesome elements together to maximize Wrestling gameplay. It'll just take patience.

I personally think they are getting worse. Just Bring it had so many features, but then I play SvR 2010 and it's got nothing. The graphics aren't even that good despite being updated loads.

Right up until 2006 was when the series was good. By the time 2007 came, it was like the games were turning into what every other sports game was like. Just updated graphics, messed up controls, and updated rosters. That was all there was every new yearly game.
