  • I want to be JUST like him

  • he was my daughter's nurse at MSKCC, and I'm here to tell you that he's not acting...that is EXACTLY the way he was with my daughter. He was so kind & funny with her and she responded to that, and he was so compassionate with us, her parents. He's a big guy with an even bigger heart.

  • @mickntrish that's amazing. we need more people like him in this world

  • Cried when i watched this, i want that job. Pediatric nurses are amazing.

  • I am a 15 year old girl and I want to be a pediatric nurse when I grow up. :)

    This video makes me cry

  • That's right! Nurses heal.That's what we're here for.

  • This commercial makes me cry all the time :')

  • This is so sweet. Glad to know nurses are here for sick children, when some parents give up on their kids.

  • this commercial really gives us health practitioners something to be remind of,

"it is not purely giving the health back but how much extraordinary care we give to our clients."

  • watching the news about war, crime, abuse, then by accident I hit this on youtube...the world ain't so bad...thanks

  • So inspiring to me and so many other people, you all have done a great job!

  • This makes me want to cry. It's so sweet.

  • I only saw this commercial for the first time a few days ago and, man, I nearly cried. She is so cute. The look she gives him when she says "good" kills me.

  • guy what are you not gonna flush after? and you alcohol after... get your technique up

  • @hixvill00 it's a shot, not an iv push medication. why else would he be distracting her from the pain?

  • @freckleface0818 :025 you can see him turn the lure lock and at :14 you can see the tubing and at :06 you see a needle and at :09 you see him twist it off . Even Iv push can be traumatic to pediatrics's. Either way i was just kidding around great add

  • @freckleface0818 It WAS an IV push and the song helps with timing since you can't just slam the meds in there.

  • I have a cancer survivor son going into nursing, so I was doubly touched by this commercial. What a sweet girl and caring health care provider...great media spot by J & J

  • Damn straight,nurses heal.That's what we're here for.

  • Is he euthanizing her?

  • This commercial makes me tear up every time i see it. It's so freaken cute! I start nursing school this January, and i cannot wait!

  • Who is this nurse and how soon can we get married and to whom do I talk to about donating all my belongings to help children like this?!?!?!

  • How can someone dislike this video! It brings joy to my heart watching it because its my dream to become a nurse and help out people. This may be a simple video but man its sure inspiring and heart touching.

  • I never get tired of seeing this commercial, I just LOVE it !!

  • OH MY GOODNESS!!! I LOVE THIS COMMERCIAL! It makes me so happy! I would love to meet a nurse or anyone like that!!! SOOOO CUTE!

  • Thank you so much Johnson and Johnson for putting compassion and empathy in these commercials about nurses. Most nursing organization cannot even articulate what healthcare professionals do and are to society. We need more commercials out there like this.

  • @claritycentral Thank YOU for your comment!

    Rob

  • This little sweetheart's eyes and head movement reminds me of my niece they even look a little alike.

  • Tony sent me here

  • my friend(13) has a cansourous brain tumor and this commercial makes me thankful to know that there are people who care for her

  • That's so cute!

  • Makes Me Cry Everytime<3

  • I cry everytime :) FutureRN

  • I don't agree with the person that said most nurses are in it for the money. Nursing is extremely hard work, as we are all aware, and the money is not that good for 12-14hour shift of grueling work.It is true nurses get burnt out and can't look forward for the shift to be over on some days, but they also became nurses because they care about helping the society. There are some days when I am so exhausted and I just wanna break down, but I still feel grateful for everything at the end of the day

  • i feel soooo sorry

  • Aww, it's so sweet <3 I rarely cry and this 30 second commercial makes me tear up!

  • I am a male nurse, working on a pediatric oncology ward. This is a very touching commercial and brings to light that we not just care for the physical, but also emotional ailments. Good work J & J

  • i cried when i saw this commercial, because it was so sweet and loving

  • When I was in the hospital, a male nurse took the time to do a puzzle for me when I was sick and too weak to lift the pieces. I pointed and he put the piece where I motioned to and I've never, ever forgotten his kindness, as well as his gentle bedside manner when caring for me. This was 40 years ago and I'll always remember him with love.

  • Im a nurse and im goning to be honest...MOST are in it for the money, they just want to do their shift and go home. I was recently asked in an evaluation the difference between a good nurse and a great nurse...a good nurse comes in and does what is expected, a great nurse comes in and does what is unexpected...Holding a hand of a dying patient, actually listening to families, staying that extra hour to stand by your crashing patient...dont be a good nurse, BE A GREAT NURSE!

  • This is such a great commerical I love how he sings with her. Best commerical I have ever seen

  • What is it that they sing?

  • @letty330 I think it's called "The Name Game" - you take your name (Letty) and it goes Letty Letty bo Betty banana fana fo Fetty mi my mo Metty - Letty

  • Cute commercial. And I always appreciate seeing another male nurse around. We are few and far between. But nowadays more and more guys are getting into the field! Its a career that has good pay, excellent job security, and immeasurable pride in what you do. You get to help people when they need it the most. What could be better?

  • Ive cried EVERY SINGLE times i watch this.... Thank you to all the nurses! But the number nurse in my heart is my sister Sanrda :) love you sis!

  • Three people who watched this were doctors.

  • @timestep19

HAHAHA SO TRUE. your comment made me LOL in real life.

  • That medication syringe isn't labeled!! And he didn't flush the line before/after giving it!@#@! lol

  • I absolutely love this commercial ;). It makes me feel so warm and the doctor seems like such a sweet man. The little girl seems so comfortable around her. I can't help but smile at this commercial. It's amazing

  • @selenaluvor he's a nurse^_^

  • i swear to god, ive seen this commercial like 30 times and everytime it comes on i sit up in my bed, start singing it along, get goosbumps cry a little and thank god im healthy.. and im 13

  • @marieelamuniz no one cares how old you are

  • This commercial is amazing. My name is Emily and I go by Emma. When I was 6 years old I caught Pneumonia and was in the Hospital for 2 weeks. The little girl in my room had Leukemia, her name was also Emily. I used to talk to her and draw pictures with her. When I was feeling really weak I would look at her and now if she could do it, I could. I had amazing nurses and because of them, I was healed. I am so thankful for nurses and doctors and have so much respect for them now.

  • I really appreciate this commercial putting Male nurses in a positive strong light. As a Medical Doctor nurses in general are a crucial and complete necessity of carrying out our orders. This "Focker" attitude towards male nurses might be fun and open the door? But many times my orders are best followed by male nurses because there's that "thing" males have with one another that you don't cross that otherwise isn't there with females. It comes down to confidence and training and experience

  • I just saw this commercial last night, and it made me burst into tears and my husband saw me and how it moved me, and thought I was cute haha. But this made me cry, this commercial is so sweet. Best commercial I've ever seen.

  • this is my friends sister! shes such a cutie and sweetie i love her. yes shes an actress :)

  • This commercial puts the biggest smile on my face :D

  • Wow, such a great commercial. Thank you God for the compassion you gave all of us! Thank you God for people who care! Thank You Jesus for allowing my soul to be touched by the watching this! Thanks Johnson & Johnson for making this to be seen by everyone.

  • Definitely one of the most heartfelt commercials I've ever seen. God Bless all the wonderful nurses out there!

  • I <3 This Commercial :)

  • i can't watch this without crying

  • This is the first commercial that i actually like.

  • I can never watch this commercial without crying!!! This is BEYOND a heartwarming commercial. *tears*

  • Oh god why did I watch it...

  • This is communication marketing at some of it's best. The message really connects in an authentic way and shares the larger Johnson and Johnson story... which is hopefully backed up with doing good action.

Anyone have examples of other brands that do a great job of "authentic marketing storytelling"?

One of my guest speaking topics focuses on this concept and I'll definitely be adding this video into the mix of examples.

  • @CityOnFireStudio Thank you very much. I'll give it some thought.

    Rob

  • This is communication marketing at some of it's very best. It connects in an authentic way and tells the larger Johnson and Johnson brand story. Hopefully the company really commits to doing tangible good to back this part of their story up.

  • If any nurses have any tips tricks to pass the nclex they are more than welcome to message me thanks & god bless all of you hopefully I can make it :)

  • Im a guy in nursing school I have 5 more months to go and I would love to do this with my personality I could brighten kids days up just sad to see them like that...

  • Wow - if this commercial doesn't warm your heart, you probably don't have one.

  • Can I marry him?

  • he seems like such a nice guy(:

  • This makes me cry every time I see it. As someone who has had family members in & out of the hospital my entire life, I know that the nurse truly makes the difference in a sick person's life.

To all of you nurses out there who put your heart in your work, I thank you.

  • Love this commercial. Its so sweet. Almost makes me wanna cry lol :)

  • @charmainestephens Thanks. It's a common reaction!

    Rob

  • that wasnt over 2-3 minutes!

  • @jaredhu19 depends on what medication, only some have to be pushed for a certain amount of time, others don't matter.

  • This is absolutely the sweetest thing ever, I wish I could be as brave as her. I hate hospitals. They pretty much have to hold me down to iv me.

  • I have been a nurse for 3 years, and this brought tears to my eyes but a smile to my heart! I am a male nurse also, and I love my job! I look up to most all nurse's!! When a person asks what I do for a living...I still get butterflies because I am proud to say that I am nurse! Great commerical!!

  • This commercial puts a smile on my face <3

  • I had to fight tears! God bless all nurses!

  • he sounds like doug heffernan

  • HEY THATS MY NURSE : D... my Physical therapist told me yesterday that he was in a commercial that i never really payed attention too, and i decided that i have to look for it. he is such an awesome nurse. : D

  • @MaYo00127 You must be extremely lucky to have him as your nurse! I can't wait until I grow up and be a pediatric nurse as well. He and this commercial is SO inspiring♥

  • Without the truth, there can be no real morality, justice, equality, success, freedom, love, security, peace, spirituality or even survival. Search "Truth Contest" in Google and click the 1st result, then open The Present and read what it says to learn the truth of life.

  • Amazing.

  • This nurse works in my facility and am so proud of him, and I'm so proud to be a nurse. I work in critical care, and I gotta say...I learn a lot from these brave patients. Nursing is very challenging, but it's amazing how we feel and understand our patients. Just a simple smile or a light touch of their hand makes a difference in their lives. Go nurses!

  • @Scorpinayj Nurses are great to not only us as patients, but our community as well! God bless them all!

    Kristen JnJ

  • @Scorpinayj I didn't know he was an actual nurse. I tear up everytime I see this commercial. What a great man.

  • @Scorpinayj Oh mannn he's cute! Let him know he has a secret admirer! I wish I could go into nursing, most of the women in my family were really great nurses. Just don't think I'd have the stomach for it.

  • Visit the Nurse Advocate Organization Campaigh if you like this commercial. NurseNAO.com

  • That guy HAS to be Louis C.K.'s younger brother. Even if Louis doesn't have one.

  • anybody who thinks a male nurse is weird or a female doctor is weird then you are wrong male nurses and female doctors can save your life so stop making fun of those people

  • this is the most amazing commercial ever :) it actually gets a message through rather than other commercials xD but like everyone is saying, NURSES ARE BLESSED ANGELS !! :D I thank you so much for your work!

  • My favorite commercial of all time. That nurse is a true angel of God. And that little angel is so precious.

  • @SenoritaDancer87 This is a great video that is for the J&J Campaign for nurses! We all need to truly appreciate our nurses and all the wonderful things they do for us.

  • This commercial has made me cry so many times. The little girl moves me beyond words, and the nurse is an angel. After watching a few dozen times I decided to volunteer at a children's hospital. I can't get this girl out of mind...she's so innocent. God bless nurses and all they do.

  • @TheRw1971

Nurses are amazing people, and we should all be so thankful we have them present in our world! May God bless all nurses and the wonderful things they do for others!

    Kristen JnJ Health Intern

  • Nurses are angels walking among us.

  • This is a brilliant ad. Did anyone else notice the sad-face eyes in the drawing at 0:01? Body language, eye contact - everything is so well thought-out. Bravo, J&J.

My mother is a patient care tech, @irenaprude2010 - twelve hour shifts of code-blue, DNR signs and toe tags really get to her.

  • JNJ. This is a truly outstanding commercial. Thank you to all the caring nurses out there.

  • Finally a video without dislikes and without people fighting. Great video I shed a tear after watching it, this is how powerful the commercial is. Nurses are " Angels of mercy"

  • I wonder if J&J has heard of Music Therapy and the Child Life Specialists within Children's Hospital Settings...it would've been nice for them to give credit to these professions as well....when most times those are the professionals using music or other distraction techniques during procedures and medication.

  • @samanthalauren1126 While I agree with your point of giving credit to other professions, I will strongly disagree with your statement that they are usually the people using distractions. As a pediatric nurse, I'm constantly providing distractions to children during procedures and such. Child life is great but they certainly aren't the ones who "most times" use distraction techniques.

  • I have a hard time being anything but cynical towards commercials but it's obvious that this is a real event and despite the fact that Johnson & Johnson used this incredibly sweet incident to promote themselves, I think it's also fantastic that it promotes nurses who are one of the unsung heroes of our world. This is the most amazing commercial I've ever seen.

  • At the end you hear him sayy: "Ok back to drawingg" ! <3

  • i want to meet her so bad. i love her, shes a strong little girl,<3 shout out to emma, i love you.

  • @irishitaliangerman21 I'm pretty sure I read that the little girl in the commercial is an actress, though the nurse is a working nurse. Wonderful commercial though. My mom just got out of the hospital and I can't say enough good things about the nurses who took excellent care of her - true professionals with very kind hearts.

  • @koalablue80 We should be thankful for all the wonderful people we have as nurses!

    Kristen JnJ

  • ADORABLE!!! so proud to be a nurse!

  • Oh Goddess! I hate to admit this about a self serving commercial for an exploitive greed based giant corporation but this is truly one of the most heart-breaking and heart-warming videos I've ever seen! ;'( :)

  • That commercial is so moving. It seemed like we just entered a hospital room, and witnessed what was happening in the moment. Just amazing. Bravo, Johnson & Johnson!

  • This is the cutest commercial I've ever seen !

  • The "Nursing" playlist currently includes 18 videos. Hospice is third in the list.

    Here's the link: youtube.com/watch?v=2PVeOq60GcA&feature=list_related&playnext=1&list=SPE76ABCBE3966759A

  • Such a sweet commercial. Can't help but ask. . . is the nurse single? Just the kinda man I'm looking for!

  • @LizNSable I think I saw a ring!

    Rob

  • @JNJhealth

oh you are right! guess i was wishing he was single :)

  • @LizNSable Unfortunately I noticed a wedding band on his left ring finger! But I agree, this commercial is soo sweet!

  • I love this commercial. Very touching

  • this makes me cry...so cute

  • Johnson and Johnson should show nursing in it's TRUE light. How about cleaning-up a patient with C-diff, or treating an elderly patient with MRSA, and having to get "dressed-out" just to walk in the room. Or a Psych Patient in the ER that is screaming at you. Johnson & Johnson makes it look nice, clean and "Heartwarming" In reality. It's long hours, and hard work.

  • @irenaprude2010 It's true. Nursing is a hard job, which is why we should all be grateful to those in the profession.

    Rob

  • @irenaprude2010 I don't understand your cynicism. I doubt anyone forgets that nursing is often hard and unglamorous while watching this commercial. The reality is nursing is a multifaceted profession and, judging by the myriad comments for this video alone, many from people who've had actual experience with this very nurse, it indeed can yield 'heartwarming' moments such as this. In fact, a nurse's personal impact is the POINT of this commercial. Most appreciate it's an exceptionally tough job.

  • @cster0905 I worked as an LVN and one of those moments came for me when a patient's family member thanked me after their passing for putting them on a PCA pump and making them comfortable at the end. They surely do happen sometimes.

  • @irenaprude2010..... Completely missed the point. The work, the hours and any other negative about the job is not what this commercial is about. It is about the kind of impact a nurse can have on such a young innocent life,

Your attitude borders on the disturbed. I pray you are not an RN

  • @irenaprude2010 I don't disagree with your statement, but this was a touching and heartwarming commercial. Sure, they can show the "dirty" stuff of nursing, but just because that accurately describes what we do, this commercial ALSO shows that what we do is not just dirty work. We touch the lives of our patients, whether it's cleaning up C-diff (Which ew okay, not everyone can handle) or giving a child their medication.

    It all counts.

  • cool and sweet

  • omg this commercial makes me cry, its so sweet and awesome. awwww

  • Everytime I see this commercial, it makes me want to be a nurse even more. ^^

These comericials are very touching and well made. :) <3

  • This is what makes the stress of going through nursing school worth it!

  • Congratulations, Rob, you have more than twice as many views as 'Stacking the deck', -and that sweet 92 year old Danish lady's video isn't even on here! LOL THAT'S the one that always makes me cry.

  • Three reasons why I like this commercial:

    1) The fact that the nurse is male, reminding everyone it's not a female-only job.

    2) That little girl is adorable (even if she is just an actress), and I can sort of relate to her, because I had to visit a lab for frequent blood samples when I was a child. I was over the fear of needles by the time I was seven because the nurses and phlebotomists were so nice to me when they took the samples.

    3) It reminds me how proud I am to be a CNA. :)

  • This is my absolute favorite commercial. So touching. My daughter (3) stops what she's doing and watches it whenever it comes on.

  • It's no surprise that this video has zero dislikes. It's the sweetest commercial I've ever watched. <3

  • i love this commericial its reminds me of my brother looks just like him and he would act the same way :)

  • I have to say this is the best video on Youtube :)

  • TOM!!!!! :D

You, and all the other nurses/doctors, are the only reason I miss coming to the hospital. You always took such great care of me when I was in the hospital.. Cancer free 6 months! (:

  • One word - touching. I get that it's an actor and actress, but the communication goals are very real.

  • @RCTMI03 Thank you. Actually, the nurse is real!

    Rob

  • @RCTMI03

the nurse is definitely real. he's a pediatric nurse.

he was my nurse while i was inpatient in the hospital. it was a few months ago. he helped me with a bad reaction to my chemotherapy.

  • I LOVE how they show a male nurse :) it just shows women and men can do eachother's jobs. Plus the guy seems very sweet and kind :)

  • What a wonder nurse and what is the prognosis of this beautiful little child at this time? Does anyone know? She stole my heart!

  • @cmor1777 She’s an actor. We don’t use real patients as we wouldn't want to put an ill person through the rigors of filming – just real nurses.

    Rob

  • Beats the heck out of that YOU'RE A NUUUUURSE YOU MAKE A DIIIIIIIFFERENCE!!! commercial :P

  • thank god there is a guy in this commercial! im a junior in high school and am thinking of going into healthcare ( I have an interest in nursing). im tired of seeing just female nurses its nice to see a change in the way people look at nursing. after all nurses, both male and female, are the backbone of nursing.

  • AWWW, I love this commercial! :)

  • Dammit. Now I am crying.

  • That little girl is so cute. If I could I would adopt her. I like the look on her face while he is administering the medicine. She looked unsure l, but still trusted him and knew what was coming. I love her yet I don't even know her.
