I know these are supposed to be among the best shoes you can buy, and I love the way they look. Only one problem though....the sound. I don'twant to sound like a horse clopping along when I walk. I've got a pair of Rockport (Reebok's dress brand) toe cap balmorals that look a good bit like these, but with rubber soles. Yes, yes, I know that the soles make mine less snazzy, but they are quiet.

You really have to be well-heeled to afford Allen Edmonds, but you'd have to be a fool not to buy them if you can afford them. Every place I go, my Park Avenues get noticed. I'm an attorney in NYC and almost every guy of wealth and power owns Allen Edmonds---- Some of the wealthiest guys I know buy them off of eBay and get them recrafted.... No wonder those guys are wealthy. GREAT VIDEO, AWESOME SHOES!!!

I love the AE Park Avenue! I'd change out the rubber heel for leather/rubber dovetails,but that's just me.
