Marriage is on the constitution because the country was founded on religion. Religion founded marriage and they have the right to keep it how they designed it.

ya i have heard of separation of church and state, and i know what it means too. Separation of church and state means that ot one church runs the country. For example, when England was run by the catholic church everyone was forced to follow their rules punishable by the law. Here in America it was made for religious freedom so all religions are taken into account and the basis of all religion are put into law.
This way not everyone lives by the same religion but the basis of religion is stil in the constitution (as you can see with the words in the constitution and pledge). There are several other laws based on religion in this constitution religion, murder and theft for example. So we have separation of church and state but as a country still hold the
broad beliefs of religion. That is what separation of church an state means.
The beliefs against murder and theft are a moral issue completely secular of religion. Even countries of dominantly non-religious people, there are laws against both of those.

If reproduction is deciding factor for marriage then why does that stipulation only apply to gay marriage and not straight marriage. If a gay couple's infertility bars them from marriage then all infertile couples, gay or straight should be bared. Otherwise that rule is unconstitutionally applied to one group and not all groups.

ya i have heard of separation of church and state, and i know what it means too. Separation of church and state means that ot one church runs the country. For example, when England was run by the catholic church everyone was forced to follow their rules punishable by the law. Here in America it was made for religious freedom so all religions are taken into account and the basis of all religion are put into law.

They said they would do anything to get the law reversed and that gay marriage would destroy the famely values. My statement stands. Under current law, there is NO discrimination. You want to create a new definition of marriage, work for legislation. You might think of including polygamists, since they made the same arguments homosexuals are making and were turned down.
