  • zwén 7ate !!

  • Machaa Alah

    Big Salam

  • Can any one help, looking for the soundtrack for waiting for happiness. thnx.

  • that's a long history lol. you need a big box. However I want you to remenber this fact. African continent has it own history. Our history is as complex as that of Asian continent. So much is unknown about African continent and it people because we often lack the confidence to own our history, resulting in other telling our history according to their deep seated prejudices. We also have brains to be resourceful and sophisticated as Asians and Europeans.

  • carabiche..absolutely. But you first have to get rid of all the dictators, massive murders, ethnic cleansing monster and the appalling corruption.

  • @classicallady what would help as well would be the wealthy western powers, and citizens of western nations that create there still imperialist governments, placing in power and backing dictators, appalling corrputions and mechanisms that allow the ethinic cleansings

  • What "imperialist" powers? I live in the USA but am European and last I've checked we have a democratic socialist societies in my continent (Western Europe) and this BS about poor countries calling other successful ones imperialists in just a mere and poor excuse NOT to solve Africa's problem. They have oil, diamonds, precious stones, uraniun, priceless metals...On the top the world has given Africa almost 30 TRILLION dollars for the past 30 years and now they are poor than before.

  • genocide is allowed in darfur because of the right of any one memeber of the UN security council to veto intervention. civil war was continued in angola/ and congo with the support of america when the people democratically supported socialism. charles taylor of liberia was also backed by america. as was saddam hussein at one point. leadership is allowed in africa only with the approval of western powers. western leaders that we elect; having only a concern for the exploitation of africans.

  • i do visit africa actually. and right the ones that are mocking their own people are the warlords that were sympathetic to western industrial interests. industrial interests that lobby politicians to work in there behalf in africa. moreover all african countries are porducts of the 19th century partition of africa. set along boundries in interest of western influence. that's where the genocides comes in. educate yourself please.

  • don't let that be your last comment lol. you obviously aren't capable of grasping the reality of such situations on your own. i happen to be american, but hope to permamently emigrate to africa one day. the africans were better of actually before their civilizations where destroyed by europeans. you obviously haven't studied the histories of the kingdoms of ghana, mali, songhai, the moors, abyssinians, kush, or egyptians. europeans enjoy wealth due to their pillage of the rest of the world.

  • @classicallady 30 what you're a good joker you're a history bum

  • ah zaynaa mali hah

  • wow beautiful

  • I have no idea what she just sang, but it -- and she -- sure is pretty.

I'm curious about the place where her scarf fell back and the other woman helped put it back on properly. Was that considered... risque? I don't mean to be prurient, just simply curious what the social significance is of such an occurrence. What if she had gone on without fixing it? This is Islamic tradition in action, right? Thx for any education on this for an ignorant American. :)

  • nothing realy symbolic about the scarf. it was just a helpful gesture by the young girl. this dress can be wore without covering the head. maurish women are very independant unlike many muslim women. They do enjoy great deal of power within their social setting. There are self made merchand, intellectual or politicians amoung them. moorish men are also attracted to independant women for some reason. so this is not a case of stereotypical muslim women.moorish women status is very complex..

  • Thanks for the info.

  • the dress was like indian or pakistani lol

you know anything about immigration ro mauritania?

  • (The Indian sari is usually fastened around the hip and then wrapped around the body; these Moorish veils are separately fastened over both shoulders and wrapped around the body and then over the head. This costume can be seen among tribes in Sudan, Mali, Senegal, and Niger. The original version was dyed deep blue resulting in blue skin colour, which was deliberately made to protect the skin against the element in a very harsh environment.

  • no have you seen indian SALWAR KAMEZ? thats like this only sari mainly east and south whils north its salwar kameez worn

  • Yeah, and Mauritanian are the sexiest women in the world, along with northeast African women.

  • you arent muslim right? lol

  • Why, Muslim men don't make comments like that?

    You're right I'm not Muslim.

  • well as we know sex before marriage is haram so......................anyways nice to meet you

  • Actually, I don't believe in sex before marriage either.

I was just commenting on how beautiful the women are. Okay, I take back the word "sexiest", I'll just say they are the most attractive to me.

  • yup many times it happens that you write something which you dont mean that way btw i added you on youtube but i think you did not acceot yet!

  • lol yea see generally i dont expect muslim africans to make such comments so i knew it

  • she is the best vocalist in mauritania at this period of time,, didi was also the greatest years ago..but this generation belong to very deep and soulfull vocal.

  • zein hatta

  • viva el frente polisario y el pueblo saharauiiiiiii!!!!!!!!!!!

  • the blues of Africa!!!

  • yes - The blues of Africa from gave birth to the blues of America as well as some of the people.

  • @KushaDwipa Look at the lute that the male musician is playing. I am assuming that this is the one called a "tidinit." It resembles the "n'goni" of Mali or the "xalam" of Sengal or the "akonting." This is the origin of the banjo and of the typical finger-picking style of the blues.

  • @leftysergeant - yesm true lefty, and though I'm know expert from what I understand similar musical styles and instruments are found throughout the area of what was Senegambia in West Africa up to or including southern Mauretania.

  • this is terrific. i keep coming back again and again.

  • Gorgeous refreshing music...thank you!

  • thats more money than i made this week

  • The reason why it sounds like a Yemini accent. Is because the Saharan peoples great grandads where Yemins! This kins of music is very meanfull and very religius. Im saharawin and I am proud of my people!!!

  • Forgive my ignorance, but is this Arabic or another language?
