You'll always get the bars on the tv screen but I don't remember why

P.S. : my camera is recording with 640x480 i've just adjusted the resolution to get the hd quality on youtube

If u want a digital camera which can record on HD resolution choose the panasonic TZ7 or FT1

The bars on the screen are caused by the CCD in which the camera uses to process the image recorded.
