  • @kcb7012 obviously you're lying because if he severed your oculomotor, trochlear, abducens, and facial cranial nerves that doesn't affect anything in regards to walking or writing and if severed you would not be able to relearn those things

  • 0:44 Ipod ??

  • i want to be a brain sugeron

  • It's disgeusting but highly inspiring to see a man of my culture accomplish somthing this great after bieng birthed and raised in the gutter of Detroit...In my eyes Ben Carson is the Tupac of medical progress.

  • I HEARD THERE ARE MANY ROMANIAN DOCTORS WORKING IN AUSTRIA,GERMANY,USA,FRANCE,SPAIN,ITALY..

I AM AFFRAID OF ROMANIAN DOCTORS..THEY SUCK..

MANY PATIENTS DIED BECAUSE THEY WERE TREATED BY ROMANIAN DOCTORS..

I WOULDNT HAVE SURGERY ...I DONT WANT MY LIFE TO DEPEND ON SOME unskilled Romanian doctor/surgeon..

Managers of Western European hospitals are seeking to hire Romanian doctors and nurses

this is wrong..DO NOT DO THIS,IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR LIFE

    Romanians are stupid gypsies..bad doctors.

  • @Rjsyeah what is that supposed to mean? You sound stupid and should think before you write and im sure speak. This man is a great surgeon.

  • I LOVE this guy! (Dr. Ben Carson) Read his book "Gifted Hands" The book inspired me more than anyone has in my entire life

  • Really, Snarfburger? Shut the hell up... he severed my III, IV, VI, and VII cranial nerves when I was nine. I missed my entire fourth grade year as I was both inpatient and outpatient at healthsouth rehabilitation center. I had to learn how to walk, talk, eat, write, and sip through a straw again; things that other people take for granted. As for my knowledge of the anatomy of the brain, it is not lacking- I've been studying it intensely as I've been involved in litigation since I was 18.

  • dr ben carson is my hero and idol. when u grow up, if i turn out to be less than half the man he is, ill be the happiest person in the world

  • Oh my gosh i saw his movie it was really inspiring! Hes the reason why i want to be a doctor!

  • Oh my gosh i saw his movie it was really inspiring! Hes the reason why i want to be a doctor!

  • You hear all the wonderful things that Dr. Carson has done and the groundbreaking surgeries he performed because he doesn't recognize limits. True, he's saved a lot of lives of kids (but has killed more), but has left them with PERMANENT DAMAGE that they will struggle with for the REST OF THEIR LIFE. He cuts cranial nerves and delves too far into the brainstem where he hits the pons and the medulla oblongata. Don't take your children to him to be operated on.

  • @kcb7012 you don't really know what you're talking about. He wouldn't be widely regarded as one of the best neurosurgeons in the world at one of the best hospitals in the world if he killed and injured more patients then he saved(which you don't even know for a fact as medical records are extremely private). As for delving too far into the brainstem and hitting cranial nerves and the like, your knowledge of anatomy is lacking and your claims, unfounded.

  • DOCTOR BENTON FROM THE E.R !!! YA BABY !

  • Dr. Carson seems pretty awesome, I hope I make it into med school this inspires me :)

  • @TechPriest89 I hope you do too! When I graduate High School it will be my turn to step up to the medical plate. But good luck to you!!

  • no need for brain surgery here *_*

  • NASTY!

  • I want to seeee!

  • Amazing! Brain surgery seems so scary and risky.

  • pediatric surgery is possibly the most intense medical field there is. I only have adulation for these people.

  • OMG! just because you people aint SHIT in life, and are too lazy to get a job, too lazy to go to school, too lazy to take responsiblity and intiative of your life doesn't give you the right to bash Dr. Ben Carson. Your just JEALOUS that he's a successful man and YOU AINT SHIT!!! thats all it is, that's where your stupid ass comments derive from JEALOUSY and you know it. It aint Dr. Ben Carson fault that you live in a fuckin shack with you mom at the age of 31. You guys are pure fuckin LOSERS.

  • @e521soediv Woah, what was that in response to? You seem very angry for no reason

  • A very motivational video and yet people are arguing about race. Pity.

  • thank god she's alive....Dr.Benjamin Carson....I love you man =D

  • @DEATHMETALFANN Dr. Ben carson is one of the best surgeons in the us. he has recieved a high honor from obama and bush

  • @cubsarebetterthansox

    he has to

  • Dr.s Ben Carson and Keith Black are two of the best neurosurgeons in the wide world, and they both happen to be black, and as a white person, I am proud of these two noble human beings to be living among us.

  • @Mrhandsome1999 thats right

  • @Mrhandsome1999 what is the difference between black peoples and white?:-? They are humans , indifferent of their nationality , color , race and sex . .... Sorry for my bad english ! I`m from RO...

  • Dr. Ben Carson is one of the most brilliant and inspiring African Americans of all time, and he's a true hero to so many people, including that girl Payton.

  • Also gotta give equal credit to the engineers and scientists who developed the 3D wand technology for computer-guided surgery.

  • You all plead and pray to god and yet who gave those innocent children their sickness in the first place? I hope they can get better, best of luck <3

  • Are some commenters being paid to trash Johns Hopkins or what? If I ever get gravely sick, the #1 hospital I would choose is Johns Hopkins. It's the safest hospital because they have the best in the business.

  • DR.Carson and DR.Keith black are the best in the business.......Brain tumors are very hard to deal with i no....But i hope they find a cure for this illness son...Live life like is your last day in earth and be happy.....GOD is the only one that nos when we have to go...

  • DR.Carson and DR.Keith black are the best in the business.......Brain tumors are very hard to deal with i no....But i hope they find a cure for this illness son...Live life like is your last day in earth and be happy.....

  • Don't believe these rating systems. They are fraudulent. They fail to catch bad events and bad actors. Lewis E. Braverman MD sexually assaulted all of his female patients while at UMass Medical; he trained at Johns Hopkins. Michael E. Trice MD is a rapist who violently assaulted a male competitor and put him in the hospital. No one will protect you. Never go to a doctor or hospital alone.

  • @murmur5555 shut up troll

  • @murmur5555 Talk about paranoid. In your case, how about not going anywhere by yourself, even the bathroom; you know, in case you try to sexually assault yourself.

  • I love this guy.Very knowledgeable yet so humble.May God continue to bless him.

  • Johns Hopkins is a dangerous hospital. Google "Adventures in Cardiology"

  • This dude has completely messed up his head. His actions are the reasons why he is getting operated on!

  • @Moviesayer What r u saying? There r Blacks just like him that r brilliant but we never hear about.

  • WTF about these god bless comments?! He is a professional and science made all that possible.

    Poor kid...

  • @dzntms144 if you knew Dr. Ben Carson and his story you wouldn't talk like this! Inform yourself.. do your research about him and his story and then talk if you have to..

  • @dzntms144 U seem to be jealous & just can't accept Dr. Ben Carson. Without God.....nothing is possible. God blessed him & lead him to be a Brain Surgeon. There r other Black pple that r intelligent but we never hear of them...but my point is it doesn't matter wat race u r just as he said...there is intelligent pple everywhere, Blacks, White, Asian, Hispanic, etc. Please look in to Dr. Ben Carson...it's sad. But don't me wrong please.

  • Do your research? Screw that, just go with Carson.

  • Ironically, no. He is a devout Christian--he doesn't even accept the Theory of Evolution, preferring Creation! (a doctor that dismisses evolution? That is concerning in its own right....) I think, however, that he is by far the exception in this case.

  • @TheIntelexual You must not know many good doctors to think or feel that way.

  • @TheIntelexual So...he thinks the Earth is around 10,000 years old? Religious idiocy knows no bounds, I suppose.

  • @Michael326 C'mon now...u pple create such a drama out of everything.Pple have different religions so they view them differently. The important thing is he is a Brain Surgeon & helps other. Some pple in this page talks 2 much...but let's c if they r able to become a Brain Surgeon or even a general surgeon.

  • @Pop1075 I know credentials mean shit on the internet, but I'm currently finishing my PGY-2 in Neurosurgery (this means I am 2, almost 3, years out of medical school and am currently training in what we call a medical "residency"). Obviously his religion has no effect on his medical judgement. However, the onus is on him to provide and explanation as to why he thinks that the Earth is no older than 10,000 years old, not on me to prove he is full of shit.

  • @Michael326 That's good of what ur studying. I look at people's positive side than negative sid. If he thinks that the world is only 10,000 years then let him. I mean who knows how old Earth? It could b more than 12 million years...i don't know. & no he can't b a full of shit. I'm just impressed about his life story & how hard he had worked toward his career. I appreciate his hard work & helping others. I don't know wat u think of me but he really inspires & that race doesn't matter.

  • @Pop1075 He's intelligent & there r Blacks that r smart but we just don't see them. There r pple from all races that r intelligent as well i.e. Whites, Asians, Hispanic, etc.

  • @Pop1075 Earth is 4.54 billion years old. This isn't a question of "is this a legitimate estimate?" it's more of a "this is a universally accepted fact within the scientific community" sort of thing. :\

  • @Michael326 I heard that too.....but who knows? maybe it could b more than 4.5 billion years. Anyways, I don't know but watever. but my point is religion is religion & we can't change ...so u pple have 2 accepts other no matter wat they r. i don't want to argue with u or nothing. bye

  • "the last case that i did"

he is brilliant in any possible way:)

  • I wanna be able to do that in 15 or 20 years...all i have to get is a 2350 on my sats and a 45 on my MCATs. no biggy (sarcasm)

  • I'l have you guys know that I broke my leg in 06 and my surgeon was a very nice colored man. He did everything he could for me and made me feel a LOT better before my surgery (I was scared shitless of getting one since I'd never had one before). He was very good. Color doesn't mean shit >(

  • @yournuubgod I met alot of nice white people too, they're not all bad

  • @yournuubgod A fuckin' "COLORED MAN", no your not racist cracker. All Black people are colored. Death to the devil, he should have let that little demon die.

  • @screwface1011 white people are coloured too. duh everyone is coloured

  • "i smoked pot with johns hopkins"

  • I had a brain tumor removed well half of it. August 25th 2010. My sample of my tumor was sent to this hospital and the results came out to be the worse. But i'm able to travel to the hospital so im going to cleveland clinic and akron city hosptals for all my appointments and treatments.

  • Best hospital in the world for brain surgery.

  • respect to dr. benjamin carson. johns hopkins is helluve hard med school to get into. i wonder how he did it.. legacy?

  • @junkevin He didn't study at Johns Hopkins----well, he did his internship and residency there. But he went to the University of Michigan for his medical school. He did his undergrad at Yale.

  • @leston4life ya i did some research on him after I saw this and found that out. He had a hard childhood which makes where he's at even more impressive

  • this is what I will be when i grow up

  • JOHNS HOPKINS!!!!!

  • I love Ben ...He is just such a God-gifted man!

  • I saw Dr. Carson speak in Orlando, he was wonderful. He studied at Yale and then U of Michigan medical school, both are some of the best. At UM he was advised to quit medicine, that perhaps it wasn't the right path for him. Says something of perseverance. I try to model myself after him, even as only an undergrad at Vanderbilt.

  • Bless you Dr carson

  • great hospitals,but college ractise

  • This guy is a legend, I'm not even in the medical community.

  • @A5runner Amen!

  • such a calm person !.....omg....

  • @Krastev23 it's all faith baby!

  • I wish you could do the surgery for me Dr.Carson. I was recently diagnosed a brain tumor and seems like it's a slow growing tumor. I have been to couple of surgeons at kaiser and they say I don't need an awake surgery even though it's in my dominant area and my speech will not be affected. But when we go to UCSF for second opinion, they suggest that I need an awake surgery. It's so confusing and I am refusing to go with the Kaiser Surgeons. dr berger is going to see me soon. • @rajathi29

Stick with UCSF. Best on the west coast, or perhaps at Ronald Regan UCLA.

  • I wish you could do the surgery for me Dr.Carson

  • Yeah this DOC is really making a difference in the HOOD! hahaha XD

  • poor girl:(

  • Good for him. What a great doctor. and not to mention a BRAVE little girl :)

  • This guy, who happens to be black, is a great intellectual. For those who are making themselves feel better because they are white, this guy has done some of the most difficult procedures that nobody had ever done before in history.....so he didn't "learn" them from a white man because none of them had done it before.

He's possibly the most knowledgeable neurosurgeon in the whole world. As someone says earlier, we are all human beings, and no matter which hue you have, you can be anything.

  • @leston4life Yeah, we’re all human beings, so why are you bringing race into this?

  • @leston4life i stopped reading when u said black. why the fuck did u have to bring this up?

  • @paidtowatchvideos Because it's the truth.

  • @paidtowatchvideos Excuse me? What's wrong with being Black? Look @ him...open ur eyes & c how successful he is. I'm not Black but Asian but I truly admire this brilliant Dr. Ben Carson. There r many Blacks who r brilliant but we never hear about. How many pple have the chance to be a surgeon? & Miniature4 is right skin color doesn't matter cz we're all human so please stop being a racist cz it's not gonna help. I'm not being mean here ...but racist is just one the of disgusting thing i hate.

  • @Pop1075 I did not say there is anything wrong with being black......You misunderstood me. I was replying to Leston4life who pointed out the Dr.'s color...which has nothing to do with his intellectual power. Pointing out someone's race for either good or evil, and make it a reason for their failure or success is racism. And I was simply trying to promote the idea that you should be color blind, you should not even MENTION that he is black, for there is no reason to do so.

  • @paidtowatchvideos Ohh.my god..sry about that. & ur right race doesn't matter. But there r some pple who still discriminate & r racist (not saying it 2 u). That's wat i don't understand that just because they're from somewhere else with a different skin color doesn't mean they can't do anything. & No i'm not a racist or anything...because i don't like it.

  • @Pop1075 Be more precise please. It doesn't prove that race doesn't matter. It proves, that there is at least one black people, who is a very good neurosurgeon. You can't throw things like that that race doesn't matter without a proof, just becuase you fear sounding racist. But keep in mind, there are a lot more subraces between blacks, wich have different charakteristics. Although, i don't have any detrimental prejudicies towards other "races" (im not sure its the correct word).

  • @mzoltan14

"You can't throw things like that that race doesn't matter without a proof"

I'm trying to get a real grip on the level of stupidity this quote represents. Not to mention it is one of the few sentences that did not have at least 1 misspelled word in it. Black skin is not a "curse" that some how denotes lack of intelligence. If that is the case, would I be correct by suggesting that you are black because of the consistent grammatical errors in your post? Tell me you're not that stupid

  • @drbayoms im not that stupid. I mentioned that blacks have more subraces, and subraces are characterized more on anatomical differences than on skin color. You might not have read the whole thing. Also, why spelling is important as long as it is understandable. Also, that was not the whole sentence you qouted. >.>

  • @Pop1075 one more thing, I am a surgeon and I'm Arab. I don't go around saying I'm Arab though and make it a reason for my success.

  • @paidtowatchvideos Wow...that's good. Studying surgeon is intense & hard career. I think u didn't understand me...i'm not saying that "oh he's Black so he's smart & no one else is smart like him." No that's not wat i mean...i'm talking about some pple who think that Blacks aren't smart. They think that their dumb....but Dr. Ben Carson sure prove to them they he is capable of doing things. Just like Asians, Hispanics, etc...some r intelligent as well. That's my point.

  • I am more than happy i live in a country..the greatest on earth..THE UNITED STATES of AMERICA where hard work is acknowledged despite race and the presence of those who use racial stereotypes as a way to make themselves feel superior instead of going out there and making a name for themselves.I am African American but American first and i come from a family of hard workers and on the road to making a name for myself in this land of the free.I am living proof that the stereotypes are complete BS

  • @CHURCHOFTHECREATOR but the world will keep spinning and people will strive to be better with or without uso go ahead living in the past trying to makeur self feel better because ur white but in this life no matter ur race, without hardwork, determination and effort one cannot make it.u can't say Dr. Carson performs impossiblesurgeries succesfully because he came in contact with a white man and learned the ropes because seperation of the symese twins had never been done before in history. WAKE UP

  • @CHURCHOFTHECREATOR looks like u and ur stupid theories and ideology are on your own. BLACKS..WHITES..HISPANICS and all the racves out there are currently in this modern age and century walking the righteous path towards equality, harmony and peacefull co-existence thereby propelling ourselves forward and striving to be better than our ancestors who made mistakes that we should learn..clearly some where in your life you completely misses this and i feel sorry for u

  • good job... hahahahaha

  • Hee hee ... there is a little jar labeled "brain tumor". :D

  • Although I would never become a brain surgeon. Way too many risks and studying, I would consider Ben Carson one of my hero's. He did something amazing!

  • Just listened to a reading of Dr. Ben Carson book I picked up from the liabrary to listen to while on my last trip. ( I drive truck long distance,) Think Big. I thought it was going to be something totally different as I have been picking up audio books to help me change my mindset from scarcity thinking to abundance thinking. This book was fantastic. I wish he could operate on my 15 year old who has epilepsy.

  • u have to be one of the most ignorant people in the world!! lmao

  • I LOVE DR BEN CARSON!!!

MY IDOL, SOMEDAY I'LL BE JUST LIKE YOU <3

  • Sorry, I made some mistakes in spelling and grammar.

  • Everyone has their own personality. You can't just judge people along with their whole race because have you met them, all of them?? I always see whites are this and blacks are that and asians this and hispanic that. But when you say that you're basically referring to everyone in those races. Some people are comparing races when it depends on how much you slack, study or try hard...

  • On top of that, everyone is always talking about the past. For example the white were treating blacks like shit doing this and that, and the blacks have been doing this and that. Wake up! You weren't even alive at that time. You can base everything by what you heard if you didn't experience it. I know that people might tell me oh my grandparents this or that that's not you. The past is the past and the future is now. Everyone has to accept the fact that some people change, and some don't...

  • Okay well obvious people who are racist judge people they don't even know. The constitution and Bible says that everyone is equal. Humans are humans and no one is better or less than another just because of their skin color, background, or anything else. Talking shit about someone personality wise is reasonable since you know that person but when it's just because you like to judge who ever you like just because then you have no life. Because apparently the world revolves around you...

  • I have had brain surgery 4 times And i love u people that have no clue what it is like to be scared. when u are told its back, well even i was scared that time for now i understood what that meant to be scared.....Grow people theres worst stuff in life

then color ....I had one white doc 3 others i have no clue and i didnt care and u want either if it happends to you

  • thats because not many people are experienced in cutting open skulls.... what happend to ben franklins illegal corpse surgery for modern day?

  • I guess if you're gonna have a brain surgery in the states you might as well beat it with a brick or throw yourself off a cliff cause it means living on the streets for most normal people.

  • I read his books, inspired me into becoming a surgeon myself.

  • terrific arts

  • my inspiration i want to be a neurosurgeon in the future

  • @fufu52 gl fufu

  • Search google for ''Rudolf Breuss Cancer Cure'', he' s an Austrian who developed an alternative cancer treatment based on fasting. If you can' t afford surgery or have doubts it might be worth to at least look into it.

  • @87ramasaurus BRAIN!!!!!!!!!!! haa

  • @87ramasaurus showing the brain is showing the physical flesh of her thoughts, dreams, speech, sight... ye its a muscle but everything she is orginates from this muscle

  • @Alyxm The brain is not a muscle you ignorant, dumb stupid!!!

  • @saul25850 well you clearly dont have one... everything in the body that is tissue is a muscle. everything. Bone is the only element which is not muscle as it has no where near the amount of nerve endings its bone marrow, neither does it bend or stretch. The brain can swell when the skull is hit hard, fluid builds up in a reaction to protect its flesh, exactly what any muscle does on the body. unfortunately left untreated, this can cause death.

  • @Alyxm Hahahaha you're so fucking stupid!!!! where did you get that information from? you're so dumb!!! the heart is a muscle, but not the brain, I don't even have to keep this conversation going on because most of my family is made up by doctors, you're a dumb ass, just google it " brain muscle" and you'll find a bunch of articles explain for idiots like your self that the brain is not a muscle.

  • @Alyxm

I am an undergrad at Vanderbilt University studying neuroscience. I can assure you that the brain is not a muscle. The brain can indeed swell when subjected to trauma, but this fact does not make it a muscle. Muscle cells are a specific type of cells. They come in different types including smooth, striated, etc. The brain is made of neurons and glia (astrocytes, etc.). In fact, your brain controls all of your muscles, with your heart being the exception since it's myogenic.

  • can you help where can I find Hospitals accepting newly graduate nurses

  • Research. That is the word. Never give up!!! keep studying ANATOMY ,, keep practicing, get insigh about the complete funtioning of our organism, our human body is a awesome machine, Jehovah has created it in a way can no be able to describe, so keep studying the bible, has been preserved for 4000 years, and ANATOMY. I feel soooooo happy for this little girl... Juan , your friend!!!!

  • I want to become a doctor after I finish my nursing degree now. I want to show the world what God can do through me like Ben Carson has. God bless you Ben

  • hahaha,, "sensitve area" hahahha,, NOOO SHIT!

  • @Tahmmo lol, the whole fucking brain is sensitive you crazy people XD

  • carson is one of my inspiration iam a general surgery resident from india and i want to do neurosurgery and be like carson

  • Dr. Ben Carson is an amazing dr and man. Dr. Carson has operated on my son Hillbilly1996g spinal cord 25 times. Because of Dr. Carson and the lord his is still able to walk. Dr. Carson we love you.

  • Awesome story, I have a pituitary tumor correct find the best surgeon. Having my surgery performed at Emory University Atlanta,GA

  • is a brain tumor a thing? or like a cancer please reply on my channel

  • I had this done nov 2006, was in for 3 days and back to work in 4weeks.........worst part of it was the worry and shear terror.

  • I had A craniotomy done in August of 2009 to remove a tumor.. And the only thing you care about is who can do your surgery successfully and keep you alive!!! God bless this doctor for what he does!!

  • @johnsbride32208 How did you feel when you came out of surgery?

  • @ChazzyNazzy45 They normaly want u to stay 3 to 7 days ins plays a role in it

But back to your ? my first time i was 15 i stayed 6 days i was very depressed and now i know i went back in time a few years when i found out about my 2nd time i panic un till they my me under which i fought them i dont rember after that time 3rd time i was a man about it 4 hours after i woke up i was standing trying to leave my 4th time hurt bad took 2 days for me to stand to leave (they dont want you to stand lol

  • That would really suck to have to have your skull cut open, and your brain operated on.

Surgeons and hospitals are extremely fascinating people and places. It takes a certain breed to want to be a surgeon. Though nurses and CNAs don't impress me much ~

The care, compassion, and humanity of women who now work in hospitals is laughable. They march around in an angry rage, ready to give the first man they see a dirty scowl. They are very cruel& mean. They act more like pissed-off rock-stars.

  • Can't agree more on this, you are absolutely right.

  • @drunksingsheep Idiot...

  • this souns important

  • This shit is fucking incredible.

  • Something That God Made...comes to mind. Incredible work, loving family and out of every bad comes something good and sometimes great...may all of you enjoy your life.

  • Hopkins Blows. Google "Adventures in Cardiology"

  • this doctor made me at 40 years old want to apply myself to be a medical doctor ,anyome who insults talent, and the willingness to sreve others can piss off and die.when you need him i hope h is not available, and treats them with the same prejudice.dr .carson will not do that and i hope at that point it changes your views.
