To get a helicopter for the Sims 2 without the Apartment Life, just get to the top of the Politics career (become Mayor). My sim became the mayor so now the helicopter comes for her in the morning(:

You don't need to get the top of the business career. All you need to do it buy/download Appartment Life Expansion pack. And you can buy one..

You don't get to the top of the business career at all! You get the APARTMENT LIFE expansion pack.
