im 13 years old and im having a very hard time with emptiness and sorrow i want to follow God but when i do i feel like im going no where wnd i go back to sin please pray for me and if anyone knows anything that would help me please tell me i cant stand this any longer

@MrToddino You sound like Paul in Romans 7. The thing you want to do you aren't doing but rather the thing you hate that you do. If you have a clear sight of your sin this can blind you from your ability to see your growth in grace. Just give it a few years and you will look back and see growth.

@MrToddino first of all kid I'd like to say that you already know what to do. God has equipped you. I would say join a youth group, go to church faithfully and keep talking to God about your pain. What helps is sacrificing what God wants you to give up for Him. If the holy Spirit puts something on your heart to change. You should change it. You should get rid of the stuff God wants you to get rid of, you should live for God and others and you will be delivered from your sorrows.

@MrToddino Join a church and be involved. Talk to people - REALLY. Find some trustworthy people and get real with them. Tell them the truth and pray with them. You will never be able to follow God alone. I pray you find that in your area (even just through school). Let me know how it goes.

Wow. Francis Chan, G. Craig Lewis, Paul Washer and Jesus Christ thank you so much. I am a horrible sinner deserving to die and to burn in hell. I took a24 hr. challenge on August 21st , 2011 of repentance and to live a sin-free day. You guys inspired me to do it, but Jesus gave me the power to go through with it. Thank you guys so much, and God bless you. You CAN overcome your sin, because I did.
