Alex has done a wonderful job portraying the subconscious landscape. Good to know that such spectacular beauty lies within us. DMT just might save this world.
I dont know what to do... about 3 months ago, i drew a woman dancing with her fire poi, with all of her chakras glowing, etc... I am nowhere near the artist that my HERO alex grey is... but the proportions, stance, pattern, theyre all the same, and i had never seen this painting before... I never finished it. I guess i should have. trippy...
My most prolific period of art was during high school. But the Machine, or the work-world, is killing my impulse to create. What a crazy life we lead in L'America.
Alex Grey is my inspiration. He reignited the passion for drawing and making art I had smothered in my early adolescence. I'll never stop making art, not even for a day. Perhaps one day I will be able to express my visions with such clarity and skill too.
I havent done anything artistic in years all i can draw is a monkey and mushroom cloud... a tarot card reader said i should doing psychic art but i dont know where to start.
This is not just subtle state of consciousness of vision, but in addition, a sructure-stage occurs in this art, a subtle structure stage that requires prior bodymind integration stage, which grey has.
besides some of his other work this has got to be one of the most amazing paintings I have ever seen. to watch it evolve from point a to point z is a gift I will treasure.
But really, why can't a presidential candidate ever so much as touch on the issues of creativity, art, community, the sacred, the divine, shamanism, visions, etc? These are all part of a great positive message that Alex Grey expresses.
Wow great video. Does anybody know what the song that starts around 2:51 and ends at around 4:34 is? I really need to know! awesome video and music. thanks everyone.
Alex looks like he is rocking out more than a bit. I like how their is a correlation between the energy of the music and the painting. The dancing looks like it helped.
wow holy shit! i love alex greys work. anyone know what type of paint he was using, like the make and how does he get the colours so bright and almost fluorescent... oh and does anyone know what music was playing?
