Ah... I saw that you've put them on later. Is it ok to tack-weld without glasses? Or did you just allow yourself to do it because it was just those two points?
@SVKmellow Hi , your right to point that out, it's wrong to tack without a mask, but most welders do it we close our eyes, but if you do a lot it will burn you, like sun burn, an instant darkening mask is a good investment, thanks dave.

New here, and really enjoy your welding and video production skills. I stand in awe of someone who, like yourself, can take a piece of metal and make something as useful as this stove! Thanks for sharing your skills. Looking forward to watching all your videos and the new ones to come. Best wishes, Roy Lewis Atlanta, Georgia USA
Cool I love working with metal. I used to be a welder fitter. I miss making steel things. I just might do the same thing as you have shown. Thanks for the inspiration.
You are certainly a master craftsman! Few could do as well. (I couldn't do it at all!)
I would love to have one of your stoves! If you sell them, I suppose it would cost a fortune for you to make one and send it to the United States, because of the weight in shipping.
Thanks for demonstrating to us how you make them.
Love these videos and appreciate you showing us newbies some tricks of your craft. I would love for you to once in a while tell us about the tools you are using. I would like to know what sort of welder you are using; looks like a MIG but how big?
@ColumbiaArtz Hi, yes it's a 300 amp 3 phase mig welder, but you could do work like this with a single phase set, 170 amp or above (13 amp), thanks for your comment.

@sunnykintyre Hi, the most basic stove takes about 30 hours to make, the more complicated the more the cost, theres a bloke down cornwall makes designer type stoves , he gets a fortune, although they are excellent and are worth it, so anyone making a usable stove should ask at 3 to £350.00 and a lot more if theres more work in it, thanks dave
@sunnykintyre hi, when a fire is first lit, the door is kept closed, this draws the air up the flue, when the fire is well lit ,the door can be opened no smoke will enter the room, when the fire dies down add more fuel and repeat, thanks dave.
You are an ispiration. I stumbled apoun you video while looking for a way to heat water for an out door hot tub I am in the first stages of planning. You have given me another project to do. Thanks! Do you have any good ideas how to make a stove that would cycle water with out a pump for a hot? You seem to be the best man to ask.
Brilliant video and outstanding workmanship! Your door construction deserves some sort of award, the Noble seems a bit much and the Oscar not good enough someplace in-between
Really? From the way the Nobel's tossed around, I'd say he deserves BOTH. At least he didn't just INTEND to build the stove... Right proper job it is, DaveAl. If you were going for inspiring, you hit it dead center!
Hi setumer, I have'nt got any plans, you could copy my design or create your own it's up to you, if you need any advice post a comment and I'll try to answer, take your time, thanks dave.
Hi chiefrockidr, you could, look for a course at night school or college, it's basic fabrication, I've only got enough work for one, thanks for you comment, dave.
man i want one of these. i'm a long time professional, computer software creative, musical creative, artist.. but would love to get my hand dirty on metal fabrication like this. looks really really fun. thanks for sharing this great idea for recycling material and making something really useful.
