My kids are 5 and 7 and they use the internet on their own, and not just for games, they use it for learning too. My kids are the smartest ones in their class, so people saying that the internet makes kids dumb is moot. In fact, my oldest son has autism, and he uses the internet (better than most people probably) almost as a form of speech therapy.

There is some truth but let's face it. Every generation compares each other with older ones.
