  • This is better than the new version. It's slower and quieter, giving it a much more solemn feel to it. Not to say the new version is bad, I like it.

  • @Raguna163 I agree, there's just something about this version that gives me chills.

  • Technically in terms of music, their new album is better. But in the past their music had more emotion.

  • Unreal song. I think each album has its own unique beauty to it. I still listen to their first cd, darts to the sea, just as much as i listen to their newest one, bad luck. Any direction they decide to take their music is more perfect for me. Keep on goin ts!

  • i love their new direction as well, it's fantastic and fully unique, but i do miss some of the hardness, yeah.

i'm looking forward to the new ep but i don't see it breaking the record for sickest ep of all time or even their sickest- both held by goodnight alchemy.

  • and i mean their sickest ep, i really can't pick between alchemy, bad luck, or alphabets for my favorite of all their work

  • i don't know, i love them so much and never could i doubt them but it is hard to comprehend something better than bad luck

  • Bad Luck was their best release, hands down. I love all of their stuff (Lesson 3... drools) but they've absolutely been going in the right direction. Bad Luck was pretty much the best "post-hardcore-ish" album ever. If you can listen to that whole album without getting shivers every couple of minutes, you are not alive.

    August, 1980 slays too.

Can't wait for the new record(s).

  • bad lucks wasnt "post-hardcore" at all.. haha, they stopped being post hardcore right after Alphabets. good thing though... bad luck was a masterpiece... so looking forward to their more darker stuff coming soon

  • @NADUNITT

I know it wasn't really "post-hardcore", that's why I put the word in quotes and added an -ish at the end. They're new stuff is very difficult to categorize and instead of writing something pretentiously long like "bluesy, dark experimental rock with post-hardcore sensibilities" I decided on just saying "post-hardcore-ish." Hope you weren't too offended.

  • haha man, i wasn't offended at all.. was just stating something.. yea, i get what you mean though... i just call it Rock, fuck all these other genre names.... rock n roll is what i call it, haha

  • Works for me man. On their Facebook page it used to say something along the lines of "Rock/Post-hardcore/Amazing"

And I think that's pretty apt.

Fuck, regardless of genre, these guys are unreal.

  • guys, don't get me wrong. i'm not saying they got worse or anything like that.

i just miss that intenseness, shouting etc a bit.

anyways, i'm tottaly in love with this song.

    no doubt, they've progressed alot.

  • They have progressed a ton and I think the next e.p. will top everything they've done.

  • Agreed, the older stuff is great don't get me wrong, but I haven't been dissappointed with anything they've released since, they keep topping themselves.

  • While their earlier stuff might be "cool" and "intense", their newer stuff "Bad Luck" and this, are easily better. The lyrics, the emotion, the musicianship. Fo reals.

  • great song though eh?

  • Hey bands grow, and trophy scars are doing it well. Their older stuff is older for a reason. Also If you preach about supporting this band you should prob take this down. As it is the only way to hear it other than buying it. Just sayin.
