  • It's not maxed out.

    DiRT 2 only contains the DX9 and DX11 APIs. The GTX280 is a DX10 GPU so will only run with the DX9 API in DiRT2, which is why the framerates are so high.

  • @Reaper2794 Also, I find driving/racing games work well with V-Sync enabled.

    I've also found that ANY game using the DX11/D3D11 codebase, has micro-stutter if V-Sync is disabled, and is silky smooth when enabled (I've tried on a multitude of systems), although mouse/cursor delay will be present. So it's one issue or another issue with DX11 applications really... a bit of a bummer ;)

  • hey i got intel i7 2.66ghz 1gb ati radeon hd 5870 and 12gb ram and this game plays the best whooooo i played this game on meduim high on my 3gb laptop i feel sorry for desktop its onna blow this game away
