They're great motors :) I bought a MG TF 160 in February 2010 and have used it as my daily drive. It's surprisingly practical and great fun.

Not had any problems besides buckling a wheel rim in a pot hole. I am making sure to service her at my local MG Repairer though so I can't comment on reliability if you're just looking for a cheap sports car (which MG's provide :) ) you don't intend to maintain.

@leon6266 no the k-series engines are hideously unreliable and the chassis is not sporty at all, but i think they hold a lot of charm

Ive just bought a 2003 TF 160 in mint cond with 50k FSH and new head + Belt 5k ago by an MG specialist.

Runs like a dream, I love it to bits. Good luck with your sale, it looks a really nice motor.

I have a black MGTF in black with amazing alloys. 1.6i 16v soft top and she goes like a shit of a shovel. I love my little motor but the boot sucks!

43k, but in daily use, MOT Due now, Service Due now - booked in for both. Looking for region of 5k. Told it would go on the forecourt for 6.5K
