  • Makes me mad at myself that I didn't get to see this.

  • the ironic thing is, both of these men are both are going to be playing sherlock. Benedict already is an awesome Sherlock, and Johnny Lee miller is going to be playing sherlock in the american version :)

  • Even in the trailer- Benedict just OWNS- SUCH a great actor

He out-staged the other guy in this trailer- I would DIE to see him perform live!!

  • Ooohhh Ben..

  • Hiya, does anyone know what the name of the song is called at the end? x

  • This looks intense. I wanna see it.

  • okay. That was cool!

  • just the whole idea of this play, the two actor switching parts each night, was a genius idea. I wish i could have seen it!

  • cannot believe national theatre does not have this out on DVD! How can they deprive the rest of the world of such magnificent and beautiful renditions of these characters, and of course Benedict Cumberbatch!!

  • Can this please be on DVD?

  • Wow I wish I had seen this. I guess it would be to much to ho[e it'll be on dvd at some point

  • this is amazing!!! Benedict Cumberbatch is very good. thx for sharing.

  • So sad I can't see the play =(

  • This trailer represents the show really well. Fantastic trailer. Fantastic play. The make-up job must have taken forever!

  • I saw this in the cinema via satellite last night and it was amazing! Jonny was amazing as the Creature! His movements and emotions blew me away and he actually managed to make the Creature very adorable at times (especially when he was so excited about the wonder of snow). I loved how they developed the Creature instead of going "Aah! Scary monster!" like some usually do.

  • I'd love to see this, but unfortunately, I can't make it to the only showing that they're having at the movie theatres in my city. :( The show looks great, though!

  • im going in two weeks its reverse cast so Ben is Victor and Jonny is the Creature i CANT WAIT!!!!

  • I've seen both at Uckfield...they were both immense but I have to say Ben as the Creature and Lee Miller as Frankenstein was the best.

  • Just saw Cumberbatch as the creature. Brilliant, exhausting, touching performance. Fine theater blows me away. He is one hell of an impressive actor....

  • @speakerleora

wow, that's awesome. And may I ask how much you paid for the tickets? I couldn't have gone anway, but I'm just wondering.

  • @ReijiAoeGirl666 I saw it in Vermont on a live feed from London. I think I, and my students, each paid about $18 dollars. Worth every penny. No chance I could have seen it live. Not coming to U.S. Hopefully someday they'll sell a DVD of both performances.

  • @speakerleora

yeah, no chance for me neither. I live in germany and I know I live not as far away as you and your students do, but I'd still had to pay for a ticket for a flight and a hotel room. And that's not worth it even though the play must've been really good.

A DVD would be awesome...I'd totally buy that xD

  • saw this yesterday in theatres- Benedict as the creature was phenomenal!! Makes me want to see them switch roles. Seriously. Go.

  • I want to see this so badly but none of my friends will come see it with me. :(

  • @WhoOnEarthAreYou Then go alone. What's the problem? :)

  • I suspect the music is an Underworld track. Maybe from Frankenstein itself. I hope they release the score.

  • @romangirl88 You can buy the score from the National Theatre online shop

  • Watching this in cinema on April 10th.

OH GOD I CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS.

  • This was freaky, however brilliant!! :D Benedict!!! I'm going to see it in Cinemas. :D

  • OMFHBEHFJBHE

  • Can't wait...I'm going on March 12th.

  • Only Benedict can be a monster and sexy at the SAME TIME. He's such a good actor - loving the scariness.

  • Can't fucking wait.

  • WHOA!!!!! This looks soooo awesome!

  • omg, so excited for this!

  • It's truly ridiculous how many times I've watched this video. Thank you for sharing!

And I too would love to know what music was used! It's fab.

  • omigod. this is fantastic! peace, love, Benedict! :)

  • I NEED TO BOOK MY BLOOODY TICKET!!!! i was going to see it in the cinema, but cant find how i can get down there as i cant drive and no buses....typical teenage me :/
