I feel all your pain & I back up your many claims here-just cos a talentless dirty slag called Madogga known how to spread her legs & suck (much like her music) swear, take off clothes & steal every musical style/image & movement going & then calls it her own & the majority of thick America (& the rest) agree, doesn't mean it's true or how it should be. I love Kim Wilde best & she's got totally overshadowed & undervalued by people cos of slag Man-donna. The 80s had the best women-ears are proof.
people were brainwashed by the blonde crap image of debra harry and madonna. it's one thing to be good and another thing to be able to sing seriously with soul. laura branigan was able to do that and she was not a one hit wonder like many other female singers of the 70's,80's,90's, and 2000's.
donna summer and laura branigan were the best female singers of the 1970's and 1980's. i always felt laura branigan was better than madonna and debra harry.
Wow! Nice job on the vid! Where does this remix come from? Was "Spirit..." released as a single? 1 of the late Ms. Branigan's best ;-( My favourite cut from her largely ignored '87 sleeper 'Touch' LP. The remix arrangement is not quite as Lush as the LP version but I LUV 80's CLUB CUTS!!!! Sad that "Spirit" isn't right up there w/ her signature anthems like "Gloria" & "Self Control". I know U R still 'living & breathing in the spirit of love' Laura...Miss-U-Much...
Laura died from a brain Aneurism in 2004. It's also apparently what killed her father. She was having headaches just prior to it happening, but clearly didn't know that's what the cause was.
i know , sad isn't it. for me, she had more talent than madonna and was the better singer. the fact that she wasn't as successful or as well known as madonna was and still is criminal. seeing as the music industry was busy kissing her ass, whilst ignoring the likes of laura.
laura will always be one of my favourite female pop stars of all time.
the world, well make it the music world finally took notice of laura when she had died and after she had died as well.
laura had the potential to be as big as and successful as madonna, but for the way her record company promoted her records. which was poor to say the least.
first time i've heard this track, and my god, it's brilliant. great remix - sounds like it was created by SAW themselves. and plus, you did a great job editing the vid for this. thanks for keeping the memories of laura alive to this day
This is IMO the most original video posted here honouring Laura. You've shown imagination & creativity, good taste & sensibility... It must have taken a lot of time & passion to do it, so thanks for sharin' both with us.
i knew someone had to remix this: it is THE best song off that lp, and that scream at the end. all i can say, is listen, and see what i mean. she is there with you...++++++++++fcukabulous track always will be.
love love LOVE IT!!!!

'Spirit of Love' should have been much bigger hit - beautiful and charming sound, great lyrics, amazing Laura's vocal.....what's not to like?
Anyway I love every single track on 'Touch' album (my favorite album by Laura Branigan)

yeah, definitely unlike today. popular culture and entertainment has gone down the crapper indeed.

SAW did not produce this track, David Kershenbaum did. SAW only produced two tracks for the 'Touch' album. Shattered Glass & Whatever I Do.

well, this remix sounds like it was made by SAW, but still a great song nevertheless. thanks for setting the record straight though
