  • i agree so helpful thanx dude :D:)

  • this is SO helpful. thank you thank you.

  • argh, i wish you could teach us how to play it on piano!

  • so helpful thank you!!

  • i love that scratching sound during the chorus!

the song just doesn't feel right withought it!

i tried playing this song before and when i did the chorus, there was no scratch!

    thx so much!!!!

  • aww you didnt use your stickered guitar :) i liked it.

  • this isnt my guitar. i just used it to make the video.

i love my sitckered guitar though. its a piece of crap, but ive had it forever.

  • nice work! thanks heaps. saved me loads of working out!! :)

  • thanks.

  • Nice guitar...What kind is that? I like the sound of it.

  • you know i cant remember...it isnt mine.

if i think of it ill let you know.

  • awesome, cool, great, funnnnnn;;;;;;;

  • cool

  • yey :D

  • Gmaj7 doesn't sound quite to me :/

if you listen really hard to the intro chords, it has the D string open all the way through

I think the guitar is probably double tracked anyway, which would give it that thickness that it has. which would explain why it's so hard to replicate by yourself

  • i love the way you did it

can you send me the cords for it cos im still learning plying on guitar.plz;)

  • ah, didn't see that. thank you very much!

  • can someone post the exact fingering for the power chords? it's a bit hard to see, thank you!

and awesome video, btw! just what I needed.

  • its in the video description.

  • play the 1st riff

then it goes to the chords (power chords) D E B G

    then A G

  • hey have you put the actual tab anywhere? cuz i learn better when i read the notes.

  • no, im not a fan of tabs. sorry.

  • i wanna play tht... im soo jealous of u lol

  • woah,,

    awesome :]

you must be a genius to figure that out by ear.

  • thanks, im flattered.

  • thank you man no one else on the net seemed to be able to tab or teach this properly, nice one, and nice shorts lol

  • thanks. i love those shorts.

  • awesome man =]

  • thanks.

  • I'm sorry but I don't understand those chords you wrote. For example, the Dsus2, wouldn't it mean using 5 fingers? I can't figure out how to play that one and you seem to have your fingers on other fields than the ones I read... :s

  • no, you do that by barring the fret.

  • Very nice! but ive been doing it a little different x540xx, x440xx, x240xx... tell me what u think. i think it sound nice but then agaain maybe im just retarded.

  • i dont have a guitar with me but you are possibly correct.

  • thats awesome!

  • thanks.

  • This was fantastic! I appreciate you posting this "how to." How did you figure this out?

  • hey, i figured it out by ear.

  • Great Job! I have a question though: for the part where you strum the chorus really fast (around 2:15), is that all 16th notes for the 3rd and 4th beats of one measure and then the rest of the next measure? Thanks!

  • Awsomeness..

  • thanks!

  • Thanks, brother. That really helped tremendously. I appreciate your work on this!

  • thanks! no problem by the way.

  • your good better tan me keep on the good work

  • thanks.

  • really good! - is it hard to do this song on gutar? - cuz i've tried but it neva turns out as good as you playing it. can u gimmie sum tips? - oh and top marks best one so far!

    x <3_-*

  • you have to have good timing and be able to strum up and down well without it sounding odd. i dont really know how to describe how to do these things. keep practicing and im sure that you'll get it.

  • Thanks! Perfect!

  • thank you

  • shave your legs

  • done.

  • "TecumsehBand " thinks sOOOOOoo sOoooooooSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOsOOOOOOOOOOOOo mush For youre video Ok Im SO happy Now i practice ::d::d Thinks a loooooot =5*

  • thanks a lot. that was kind

  • Important to use that fingering you use at the beginning - makes transitioning into the G much easier

  • Thanks for this

  • no problem

  • nice! u posted the chords up lol wish more ppl would do that...

  • i know that it isnt always easy to see what i am doing to i thought that would be best,

  • rainbow checkered shorts, yum

  • it is funny how many people comment on those shorts!

read the story i wrote below about them if you have a second.

  • you rock! and i love your shorts!

  • thanks, i was wearing those shorts in customs after flying back from dominican and the cop that was asking us questions kept staring at me when i was in line waiting and obviously talking about me. so i was freaking out! it turns out that he hated my shorts and was making fun of me.

  • it is such a good song! how do you feel about the rest of the album?

  • thanks for doing it slow at the beggining and doing the strumming in-frame. I really appreciate being shown how to play it. you rock man!

  • no problem, glad to help you out!

  • Nicely done.

  • thanks.

  • good job

  • thanks.

  • hEY WHY DON'T YOU INVENT A SONG?

  • i have songs, you can hear them on my myspace.

go to my chanel page and i think there is a link to the site.

  • P.s. - The implied chords for the verse are as follows:

    D, A(with C# in the bass), B minor and G.

  • I think that verse could be played better -

Feist herself just uses the descending root notes and an open D which is simpler than what you are doing but actually doesn't sound that good. The guitar on the record sounds much fuller because you can hear a little A-note overtone and you can compensate for that by holding an A-note on the g-string. Start with the open D and the A then play little 3-note muted chords-(C#, D(open), A)-(B, D(open), A)-(G, D(open), A)-This sounds best i think :)

  • wow it's like you're in my mp3 player seriously haha

you play all my favorite songs, i love it

  • cool, let me know how it goes. it took soooo long to upload the video because i had to steal a wireless signal that was really really weak.

  • Nicely done my friend

  • i have been on a feist kick lately.

  • thanks this is perfect!

  • thanks alot!
