@BOOSTINVYSS - Thanks dude! I was running pretty much stock. I had the suspension jacked up for jumping and I did break one of the back half shafts during the making of this video. But that was mostly due to giving it too much throttle. Those mamba monster power systems are great for giving you a reason to replace drivetrain components. :))

@BaNZFall thats a matter of opinion i love my e-maxx and e-revo for bashing and like jetlag2222 ive bashed them both the savage is great but calling the best is kinda a stretch for one the e-maxx and e-revo come waterproof (brushless excluded unless u prep them) second they are both super durable. Not trying to fight just stating an opinion

Hey, my e revo bottoms out on like a foot high jump. Is this normal or what can or should i do to fix that?

The Erevo has adjustable shock collars. adjust them collars all the way up to make it ride higher with stiffer suspension. It won't corner quite as well, but will jump much better. If that's not enough you can also buy stronger springs and get thicker shock oil.

Maybe start a new "thing" where you "Put The To The Scale Test" and just jump your RCs when using the scale to see how they ... hmmm...well...scale ;-)

how often do you break parts jumping it that high? Do the motors come loose or anything like that? I have an e-revo and it bottoms out on small jumps. Just wondering how well yours held up.

I occasionally break parts, but not as much as you might think. There is definitely an art to jumping. The E-REVO is very tough. Even though it bottoms out, if you can land on all 4 wheels, it usually doesn't break anything. Most breaks come from a bad takoff and a bad landing... There is definitely skill involved. The pros can jump all day without breaking anything... the beginners usually break something on the 1st jump. :)

see i agree with that statement to a certain exstent, im not the mos experienced person in the world, but in my opinion, im a good jumper. i havent broke any thing jumping yet. but my dad is pretty experienced and i can school him any time at jumping.

What combination of rockers and springs are you using in the video?

I know that u are using the truck with rpm parts but do u have any kit as the rpm true track or the traxxas 19mm extended wheelbase?

Please tell me which parts have you changed because I don't want to pay for the 4 arms when I only need the fron by saying an example.

actually in this video, I only had the front A-arms. No true track etc. Just stiffened up the spring settings and loosened up the clutch. :)

Yes, if you do a lot of high jumping you will break stuff... that's just the way it works. However, if you use RPM A arms and body mounts you can avoid most of the common breaks.

There is actually quite a few. If you want jumping racing and bashing, then you are probably looking at T/E maxx, E Revo, and the Savage is looking very strong too.

On most of my models (the E-REVO included) I use RPM A-arms and RPM shocktowers. These are the 2 components that break most often while bashing and jumping. Then if anything else breaks, I check RPM's website to see if they make it. If they do, then I replace it with RPM parts. :)

I was checking the rpm site but I couldn't find the shocktower for the revo .. I only found the arms , bumpers , Axle Carriers ,, whenever you get a chance send me a link for the e-revo rpm shocktowers ...

Lol. Not even close to stock. Watch some of my other E-REVO vids. Full brushless upgrade, 2.5 Ghz radio, and RPM upgrades. The stock E-REVO can't go fast enough to jump this high. :)

lol. I'm not just a traxxas man. I've had models from almost every R/C maker out there over the years. Although I agree most of my videos recently have been on traxxas gear. From what I hear the HPI Savage flux is smokin hot! Looks like a really cool model. I haven't had a chance to drive one yet... hmm... maybe my next purchase... :)

Nice video! My ramp(mine and my friends) is nuff to send my BL/7 cell NiMH Slash maybe 7 feet high and 30 feet distance, but not at full throttle! Too much slippage. Still nice video. Next time flip the ramp and go all air! Seems like it bottomed out a lot..

Yeah, that's what you get with the E-REVO suspension setup. It's going to bottom out no matter what you do with adjustments... especially from big jumps like this. But that's ok, it's pretty tough!! I actually didn't break anything making this video. I'm still amazed at that. lol.

To do HD you just have to upload at exactly 1280 X 720 size. That's it. Youtube automagically recognizes this format as HD and puts the link in.

In order to make your video exactly 1280 X 720 you may need to use a video editing software package if your camera doesn't record at this size.

Yeah, I was pretty worried about the suspension etc. It bottomed out on almost every landing even though I had the suspension dialed up all the way as you can see, but amazingly I didn't break anything. That's probably down to the fact that I use RPM A-arms and shocktowers. They rock!! Also it helped that the ground was soft from recent snow melting. Some of the landings left the imprint of the car body in the ground. lol.
