Which dialect is the standard Arabic?

It's the formal literate form of Arabic, like modern English, has universal grammar and word pronunciation amongst the various Arab countries. However still can tell sometimes the Standard Arabic speaker's origin if their home accent over influence their pronunciation.

In English the letter 'Q' is always followed by the letter "u" as in Question, Quay, Quiet etc... So instead of transliterating it as 'FOONDOQ" (which doesn't properly transliterate into English due to the lone Q) you might want to try "FOONDOOK". Less phlegmy, but a more correct transliteration.
