Those Dover fixtures are ugly in contrast to the elevator's interior. I also don't like the way the outside floor indicators were not set into the wall like normal but were totally exposed and looks tacky. The elevators were nice though.

Not much of a capitol building if they have Impule in the elevators. The South Carolia capitol was nicer.

I think it is an architectural disgrace when people install these ugly modern elevators like this one in a historic building this old.  The least they could have done is maintained the old original car, even if they had to make it automatic, and maintain the original floor doors. If they were originally cage type doors, they could have enclosed it in glass to fireproof the shaft. The state capitol in Kansas has its original, hand operated elevators.

The hydrolic elevators we can fix only small buildings.but u can't understand it is hydrolic or traction.Because all are look like the same

General Elevator was a distributor for Dover. It said that in a book on the history of Dover Elevator that was given to me by ThyssenKrupp Elevator when I was invited to their factory when I was six.
