  • whats the name this game: 2:45 ?? my old favorite.... :)

  • What is the game called at 2:43? I used to play it when I was a kid and I've been looking for it for a long time.

  • Yie Ar Kung Fu

  • @abdacs Thank you sir.

  • the last game reminds me xiao xiao :P

  • Saved the best for last there yes? Ye Ar Kung Fu was the best "FIGHTER", and what we knew as "Bruce Lee" in the states was the best Adventrue Fighter game. Though I wouldn't necessarily say the best Adventure game. I spent hundreds upon hundreds of hours in my yourth playing those games. Staying up until 4am during the summer. Now I look back at them and feel like such an old fart.

  • Most of those fighting games are dodgy at best. And Bruce Lee is more of a platform, maze puzzler. And you left out some of the best games. Still, nice effort though. I always enjoyed fighting games more before they turned 3D, anyone else got that feeling?

  • Awesome Vid!!!What's name song???

  • I so glad you made this.....Barbarian!!!

  • Yie Air Kung Fu and Bruce Lee were the best games ever! I DL'ed YAKF on xbox live arcade.

  • Bravo. A whimsical masterpiece of titanic proportions. A captivating and nostalgic journey through the unarmed combat games of yore. Much credit to be bestowed upon the director.

  • LOl look at korea karate, never seen anything so ridicilous !

  • @BringerOfTheTruth You've obviously never seen Corne and Horden trying to do comedy then

  • 1:39?

  • omg barbarian ! i used to beat my big brother at that all the time by chopping off his head!

  • bruce lee!

  • ahaah yup 2.53! probably my all time fav c64 game

  • legendary. the 80s games often had a lot of charm. i still love them.

  • Kindly rate or comment on some of my own chiptunes:

  • I miss IK, IK+, Saboteur, Karateka, Exploding Fist in this collection :)

  • No IK+, International Karate, Exploding Fist, Yie Ar Kung Fu II, Big Trouble in little china, Super Street Fighter 2? IK+ was one of my favorite games of all time on the c64

  • Missing International Karate aka IK and IK+ there :(

  • 02:09 - Fist Fighter

    Yeah... This brings back memories...

  • wow uchi mata!

  • Could someone please insert the missing titles?

I agree, a lot AAA titles are missing !!!

( let alone IK, IK+, Ninja, The Last Ninja I+II, Karateka, Bangkok Knights )

  • 00:00 Dead or Alive 4 =) 00:25 Korea Karate 00:35 ? Judo 00:41 ? Army 00:48 ? 00:54 ? Gladiators 01:04 Barbarian 1 01:15 Street Fighter 1 01:25 ? 01:33 ? 01:41 Street Fighter 1 01:49 Karate! 02:07 ? 02:19 Karate Champ 02:41 Yie-Ar Kung Fu 1 02:50 Bruce Lee
  • G.O.L.D.

  • Mastertronic's Ninja was pretty fun too.

  • Yeah it was, I had that game, the only bad thing was the shitty ending

  • The flashing sides and "Winner!" Yeah, we compare it to winning a six pack of Olympia beer.

  • barbarian was a great game!!!what game is that at 2.47???i had that, cant remember the name!

  • that would be yie are kung fu

  • In graphics only

    Gameplay > graphics

  • 1:56 reminds me Larry

  • hahaha the one at 1:50 LOL !

  • lol they look like they are dancing hahaha

  • haha..loves the contrast..first the 3d game with super graphics..then the switch to "Korea Karate"..lol !

  • lol

  • 2:49 hilarious

  • There's a remake of the Bruce Lee game on the Retroremakes website, and it's pretty good too.

  • The Last Ninja series was the best martial arts series in Commodore history. It helped inspire several martial arts franchises in my opinion, such as the Ninja Gaiden games

  • What was the second game in the video?

  • I f only knew Bruce Lee what kind of game was made about him on comodore 64...

  • haha didnt know the IK remix you had in the intro // whats it called?

  • 1:42 - 1:50 one looks cool :)

  • Barbarian, Bruce Lee, International Karate+ FTW.

  • oh & lol @ 1:26

  • nub

  • I kinda miss "Knight Games" :D

  • Nice video...what are the names of the music tracks?

And also did you show Way Of The Exploding Fist??? Street Hussle was cool too.

  • yi yar kung fu

  • dead or alive... wtf??? NO MAN!!! TEKKEN!!!!

  • Where Is Last Ninja, one of the greatest games efer made, or fist II, IK+

These other are just crap, yie ar kung fu was quite good though.

    /S

  • last Ninja is probably classed more of an adventure game rather than a fighter. (even though there is fighting in it)

  • I agree but then he shouldn't have included Bruce Lee in my opinion ;)

  • By who is the song from 0:003 - 0:23 preformed?

  • Barbarian was cool, I liked how you could behead your opponents

  • I can only assume it was the intent of the video maker to pick some of the worst looking C64 fighters. What about Bangkok Knights, IK+ and Fist?

  • Karateka certainly would have been a worthy inclusion.

  • did any of you guys ever complete fist 2?? to this day that game haunts me.

  • still have to end it myself, but only with cheat I think....I can remember its too awful to play for hours then lose a single fight ...

  • Very realistic, don't you think? Pure life ;)))))

  • omg that game on the end, bruce lee, with that big green slave of him... MEMORIESSSS.

  • te-heeeee the bruce lee tune ha haaaaaaaa cool

  • Look, it's 2008 and the C64 still rules, dude.

  • By who is the song from 0:003 - 0:23 preformed?

  • it's rob hubbard, it is theme music from international karate for c64/atari

  • Oh yes...the commodore fighting games rule...way better than today's fighting games...I'd play commodore fighting games any day...these games today have nothing on earlier fighting games and as you read this I'm totally being sarcastic....?!?!?!?!?

  • What's the name of the song from 0:03 - 0:23?

  • IK.

  • Dont mess with me I was a third dan on way of the exploding fist.

  • Yiear Kung-Fu was the best

  • Korean Karate totally ROCKS! :D

  • А про Interkarate забыли, не говоря уже о Karateka и Ninja.

  • too young to remember this shizzle

  • Yeah! A liked the game Barbarian! :)

  • Barbarian was cool when you chop there head off!

  • veryyyyy old =) <333

  • Aaahhh, I saw a glimpse of "Barbarian" by Palace Software...some good memories there. Thx for posting this, good stuff.

  • CLASSIC!

  • i know others have already commented on this but its worth another comment!

NO IK/IK+ or Fist(s) , & also bankok knights deserves a mention!, Biggest sprites ever?

  • Bangkok Knights! NOW THERES A BLAST FROM THE PAST I REMEMBER LOVING THE LOADING MUSIC.

  • What´s that game where there is the "flying buddha"enemy? I remember it but need more info

  • Yie ar kung fu

  • Karateka

  • Karateka was also a pretty good game

  • I'll never forget Barbarian and the head chop.

  • Pit Fighter is awful.

  • You made a complete fool of yourself by leaving out The Way of the Exploding Fist, Fist II, International Karate and IK+

    Shame on you.

  • olafpieters, those games were awesome but fist II is imposible to pass

  • Wheres "Way of the Exploding Fist'??? BEST fighting game on 64!

  • You forgot Bankok Knights

  • I remember barbarian, the only good fighting game worth playing on the Commodore

  • Sorry - As great as Barbarian was, I really think you can't say something like that and not mention IK+ (International Karate Plus) - Click my name and watch the tribute, that game was so damn fun and addictive, still one of the most reknowned C64 games ever, nevermind beat'em'up.

  • Good times, good times :)

  • wow amzing how times have changed

  • yeah, everyone's little broder osed to be the sumo man...

  • Two things to say-

Way Of The Exploding Fist & International Karate!

    Where are they?!?

  • lolz why are here so bad games? :) it is cool 3d game at biggining but than?

  • LMAO at 0:45!

  • Dead or Alive 4 sucked shit out of my asshole.

  • Dude I forgot about Barbarian and Bruce Lee. They were great games, some of my favourites. Thanks for posting

  • 2m24secs I tottally remember karate champ for the arcade and the NES

  • Barbarian rules but if you're going to play a clip you must include the head chop.

  • Yeah the head chop was the best

  • 'Korea Karate' looks amazing! As does 'Karate!'. I particularly like the excrutiatingly long build-up for a simple kick to the groin.

  • The First Street Fighter Sucked Dick now and back then.

  • yeah, good vid.. but too bad 'Way of the Exploding Fist' didn't make it onboard.

I feel that was the best one on one fighting game for the commodore ever, hands down.

  • Wow, the memories!

  • Man, you really suck at these games. Try getting some skills before making a video. The only game you did even remotely well in was Bruce Lee and even then you didnt do that great (you got hit 4 times by Yamo, the fat green guy. I could kick his ass, and the ninja's ass at the same time without either one even getting a swing off, let alone a hit)

  • I agree. This guy is a Commodore 64 noobie for sure, but he shows great epic games! Thanks

  • omg Bruce Lee at the end! best game ever!

  • Love the old school look with the lines and all. But why did you post Pit Fighter and not way of the exploding fist!? It's still a great video of flashbacks. :) Pit fighter was not my favorite game. And good job on posting BOTH Street Fighter versions.

  • I want to know where I can download the music from the beginning! It's the music of IK+. It's sooo good.

    Nice upload, by the way.

  • Try to search in google: "remix kwed"

  • Look for Axes Denied at remix(dot)kwed(dot)org

  • commodore owns:P:P

  • Heh, this is great :) Very nostalgic.

  • Where the hell was `way of the exploding fist`?

  • player 2 wins

  • How nostalgic, Thank you! I love you!

  • Nice movie!

I was googling my old artist name and found this video with my old bruce lee remix in it. Cool! :)

  • i love the amazing music

  • Good view sir!

  • would have been better without the gay music and old movie effect

  • Those all looked very boring.

  • well belive it or not before these next gen and 3-d graphics those were joystick/keyboard breaking games :)

  • no I never thought doa4 was a good fighting game because its shit

  • Barbarian, Bruce Lee and IK+... oh man, those games were Epic!

  • I like this very much. Sure, IK and IK+ would have been nice, but don't forget "Black Panther" :)

  • and YIE AR KUNG FU !!!!

  • ytea i loved that game

  • I loved playing the COIN-OP Ye-ar Kung Fu. When I got the C64 version I found the game play really fast and Harder than the Arcade! Even the First guy was hard to beat. I could never beat Blues :p

  • Both versions of Street Fighter ( the original ) were there!

    Woohoo!

  • WOW! Care to hold my hand and tell me where? I never saw the original, lol...

  • Dead or Alive sucks.

  • That was nice. :-)

  • IK++ whasten in it..2 baad

  • Nice remix from old c64 games. I missed the IK and Fist games but the video is still nice.

  • ^ Both songs were from Bruce Lee. One was a remix of the other. It's the intro song.

    ps: bruce lee was amazing

    /boots up commodore.

  • zeng! Liked the Barbarian clip (cut his f*cking head off!!). Music was a nice touch with a transition from new to old.

  • I don't even bother trying those new playstation XXX and wiiIII games etc. Much to complex, you have to read manuals and try for hours before you even know where al those buttons on the keyboardlike joypads are for.. and then after you figured it all out you come to the conclusion that you've played that fancy graphic game almost 20 years ago.. with the difference that the gameplay was much more fun then.

  • Huh? I think half of those were really bad home-made games. I've never seen them. Why not just include the classics (which you left many of out)?

  • Where's international karate and exploding fist

  • True! Those were my favorite of the C64 Fighting Games! Im surprised they didnt make the cut! (maybe the person that made the clip didnt have that game..)

  • Korea Karate is the best.

  • kikc ass music remake on theme bruce lee LOVE IT

  • great vid

  • No Shit These Games Rocked (most of em) when u only got 4 or 8 colours no Memory past 64k And Crap Hardware It is Amazing that these games came out And Had the gameplay they Had And Most of All Were Enjoyable !!

Might not Believe me but that is cause u never tried em most likely

  • utzimata remeber that judo game with great sounds

  • Your retro videos rulez!

  • Barbarian and Bruce Lee was the best...I spent countless hours on Bruce Lee, and this was before the save feature, when you had to start all over after you died (or the disk drive starting acting funny...).

  • Oh yeah.. Those were the good old days! Loved Bruce Lee. I use to have my little brother play the green sumo -like guy :)

  • Nice Idea, ha ha very funny

  • I cant believe Karateka, Last Ninja series and Ninja was not shown!! Blasphemous!!!

  • True !!!!!

  • Rules!

  • LOL! Last one was Bruce Lee, I have that for my Atari 800! Those graphics suck but I still love 'em.

  • wow, pitfighter didn't look too bad on there. I loved my commodore 64 and 1541 disk drive.

  • What about the rest of the track? What remix is that one from?

  • The second track is a remix from the game Bruce Lee, and was made by Rezistah. You can here the original soundtrack at the end of the video.

  • The song in the beginning is the theme of International Karate and is performed by Axes Denied, a finnish retro music group (see: http://www.axesdenied.net)

  • Ninja Turtles Music??? xD
