Yes, I know you have a higher score than me in this video; there's no need to taunt. But what is your plan, actually? The only way I know of to get more points without effort is to bring a Purple Puffle to dance in Dance Contest. I call that cheating, as there are some penguins who cannot buy a Purple Puffle.

My strategy is simply precision and repetition. I can score a LOT higher than this video, which is nearly a year old.

Meanwhile, what is your plan, I shudder to ask?

I'm flattered! I just feel bad that I can do so much better now; this video, along with all my other Dance Contest videos, are nearly one year old! o_0

I can say that the best way to become adept at Dance Contest is to enjoy the game! If I were a beginner, I would just start at Medium. Play on Expert Mode as EARLY as possible. If you think Expert Mode is fun, then no doubt you will do incredibly well and earn scores as high as there!

hey i thought you could only do expert on multiplayer? and that the notes were random? no playewr list and they have a coordinance or whatever wityh the song, so i think maybe this is hard not expert?

That's a lot of questions, but I can answer them no problem.

For your first question, Expert is visible in Multiplayer. When dancing solo, the Expert option is hidden; click Cadence while selecting your difficulty to play on Expert.

For the second question, yes, the notes ARE random.

For the third question, this is NOT Hard Mode. To prove it, click this: 0:15. Also, note what Cadence says in 2:23. "You got an amazing score on expert mode!"

By "amazin," do you mean the score? Getting over 30,000 on this song is more of a challenge than simply hitting all the notes (thus the A Rank). Getting 35,000+... now THAT'S amazing (I already accomplished this feat long ago. If you turn annotations on, you will see the stats)!

Looking back at these Dance Contest videos that I've done... I can honestly say that they look like complete jokes. I've got all the notes down... now time to hit them more precisely.

Hard Mode is pretty complicated, and although I haven't proven it, Expert Mode seems longer.

If you can make a Dance Contest video (without using a Purple Puffle), that's great!

Try to get a medium speed computer, so the notes won't speed when you do 25, 50, 100 or 200. Otherwise it'll get more faster if it's a slow computer, and a bit more faster if you use a fast one.

I'm more used to the fast computers. I used to have a slow laptop, and it lagged every so often. A medium computer tends to have longer loading times. I'm happy with my fast laptop, though. Thanks for mentioning that!

That is an excellent observation. If you play the same song on Expert Mode, it turns out that the arrow patterns are random. In fact, that is why I put note counts on my Expert Mode scores.

Try playing the same song twice on Expert Mode, and compare both tries.

"Epic Win!" is very popular. Based on many penguins' opinions, it has a catchy tune and is easier than the other songs.

"Epic Win!" would be the second easiest on my list. "Patrick's Jig" is the easiest if I do say so myself, but both songs are great if you're beginning on Expert Mode.
