  • 2 Mill..was /is alot now !

  • 2 Biebers?

  • epic

  • Good tune, nicely complements his great "Six Days on the Road" hit of 1963/1964.

Mr. Dudley looks vaguely like the older Jerry Lee Lewis in this clip. (Speaking of which, Jerry Lee cut some OUTSTANDING country tunes just prior to this clip (roughly 1968-1970) such as, "Would You Take Another Chance on Me?" and several others.

Wish they made records like this nowadays.

    Thanks for uploading!

  • I like the instrumental lead-in.

  • This song reminds of great asia hit, "Rice-chewing, bomb-threwin Viet Cong son of a gun"

  • that's the late, great Charlie Louvin doing the intro.

  • he sings from expericence.

  • truck drivin songs remind of my dad he drove truck for 47 years

  • I hope Justin Timberlake is watching this and hanging his head in shame.

  • Classic Country artist from Wisconsin...miss his style and talent...

  • We don't see many REAL MEN in these days of fluoride, ritalyn, mercury

    vaccines and MSG, do we?

This dude could tie 2 "Emo Boys" around his little finger.

  • Moving faster than a jimmy 8. Gotta love a 318 detroit!

  • Hah - the version I have on cassette of him singing this song has Knoxville instead of Nashville. Reality is that were it not for Red and Dave, most folks would never have appreciated the American truck driver...

  • @GrnEyedAngel81 and jerry reed, cant forget the snowman now

  • red sovine is better no offense

  • dave's voice is as big as cummins tiger cat 400

  • The riff sounds like Dylan's 'Outlaw Blues'

  • @gringotroller it's the other way around. dave dudley kicks ass !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @rorygg1 My guess is the riff is very old and has been used by many as I've heard it a few other times from different musicians. Dave Dudley is highly unlikely to be the originator.

  • the riff may be old...but his style was all original :-)

  • Could someone please upload Dudley's song "Lonelyville" ? Thanks.

  • i like it!

  • red sovinr sings it wayyyy better

  • Good to see the faces and watch these good ol boys sing these songs that kept me pushing these rigs last few years . . thanks . . bet the ol truckers were lovin this back in the day the ol playboys of the road dirty ol dogs 10 - 4 $

  • Love it. Going to be a "truck drivin' son of a gun" myself. Well maybe not like the song... you know... STDs and everything... but still driving a truck, it's a dream. Dave Dudley songs really capture the emotions and the feelings of being on the road.

  • Great man, great video. Thanks for postin' this!

  • jesus thats a low voice.

  • @greaserleo It's more of a rumble than a voice haha

  • Speaking of, Ain't No Easy Run, is it on youtube anywhere? Always been a fav of mine.

  • Back when men were fuckin' men. I love it.

  • might wanna reword that but I know what you mean

  • I always liked Dave's singing. He made Johnny Cash sound like a boy soprano!

I would like to hear 'Lonelyville' again; I haven't heard it in years.

  • Can't find anywhere his song "Rooster Hill" ... classic Dave

  • Classic kick ass artist! don t don t make it like them anymore

  • @bravebelt67 agree 100%!

  • "...man, I forgot her name, but not her figure...I remember that!" Dave Dudley, one of the coolest ever.

  • This DUDE is a BADASS ! He could F you up 6 ways from sundown in 2 seconds and leave you eatin your future meals through a straw for the rest of your life CUZ hes a "kiss stealin ,wheelin dealin, truck drivin, son of a GUN !" "KA-BOOM !" And don't forget it !

  • Wish I was back in my B-61 Mack,

Blowing 6" flame out the stack!

  • Dave Dudley was a very excellent entertainer.

He is a little underraten and forgotten too. He is too much related with truck drivin' songs: he has done a lot more.

He is one of my favourites singers

  • As American as apple pie and a Ford V-8!

  • classic Am there now folks. gotta love it

  • Great version, but i like Red Sovine's version and voice still better...

  • DAMN I love that low voice!

  • Is that Charlie Louvin hosting the show?

  • Yep.

  • Great! love this stuff. One of the lowest, most rough-hewn voices of country. Holds his tone better than Johnny Cash, too!
