Cookware! How are the Japanese on the quality, or, more importantly, the types of cookware. (Like...) Upon the subject of health risks, do you know if the Japanese frown upon the use of aluminum cookware (or, have you heard anything much about it at all)?
This is a very good recipe! Thank you for that! But I have 2 questions. Before I put the chopped potatoe in the pan, should I cook the potatoe or should I add a raw potatoe into the pan? My 2 question: You said 2,5 cups water, but how much ml (milliliter) is this? I would be very, very happy if you could answer my question! :) Thank you very much and excuse me, for my bad English :)
@happyinthedark Opposite of you. Lived in Austin til about 6 weeks ago, now I am in Dallas. (Carrollton). Did you ever go to Kyoto Japanese Restaurant between 3rd and 4th street on congress? I was a waiter there til it shut down on NEW YEARS EVE! (wtf??)
You know, on my first few trips to Japan, I actually despised Japanese curry (my mom's Indonesian, so I always had Indonesian-styled curry growing up). But now that I'm here, I can't stop myself from eating any curry-flavored item!
Try adding beer first letting the veggies boil in beer then add the water, grated apple and veggie juice, it's more work though. THen add less curry cubes or all that flavor will be lost. I used to love it the simple way and then I married Tsukky and he wanted more lol.
@lillyclown lol some how thats why i dont like them XDD i mean i could eat tons of cup cakes and candy but i dont like the sweetness of it yeah im weird :p
Yay...curry...I've always wanted to see a vid on this. I have never made any, but it looks delicious. I'm holding out on making some till I can afford a rice cooker cuz for the life of me I can't cook Japanese rice well without one. LOL
I take the easy route and use the stuff that you can heat up in water or the microwave. Just add meat and I'm done. No pan or pot to clean, just the bowl and spoon you used to eat it. Lazy person's curry.
@gdrewpowers Chocolate is sometimes used in curry too, so I thought that was going to be her secret ingredient hahaha XD Well! Now we know ... it ain't the beautiful chocolat~
@brotherannie It's quite good, actually. Just not too much of it. Just a little little block of it. It's nice if you like the curry to be a bit sweeter =)~
i got the golden curry from walmart but i r bad at making it i messed up the first time >_< did not look like the box at all

@Ninpouchou17 You add the potatoes raw, they get cooked when you add the water. And 2.5 cups is about 591 milliliters.
brotherannie 6 months ago
@brotherannie Thank you very, very much!! :D I'm so happy! I'll cook this tomorrow! :D

You could just boil the carrots separately? Bet they were rock hard :P
Ionixification 7 months ago
@Ionixification Why would you boil them separately? They boil perfectly fine with everything else, they weren't hard at all.
brotherannie 7 months ago
@Ionixification @brotherannie And also boiling everything together adds flavour. It would be a bit boring if they weren't.
