It's a great video. The students talk with straightforwardness in clear manner; they seems to be fully understand the game that are in and they are mentally prepared. They are smart; I wish them all the successes.
these kind of exams doesn't prepared us to make structured essays and other critical thinking, wich very required at the universities. When I have kids I'd definitely will consider that as important part of their education, not this one-time exam.
Good video. It helps shed a little light on the incredibly intensive Korean education system. As an English teacher at a Foreign Language High School in Seoul, I can assure you, it's brutal. I really feel for the kids.
I took the exam when I used to live in Seoul. I attending at Seoul Science High school and I got accepted to Seoul National University but I decided to go to University of Texas for chemical engineer. I remember the exam was very hard and exhausting especially studying nonstop for the exam.
Jesus. That is not a healthy education system. How can an individual become a creative, free thinker in such a stifling atmosphere? So you either become one of the lucky few who get in these elite schools or become a street vendor? That's not sane. No wonder so many Koreans leave Korea, like my parents did.

That was very interesting, I wonder why they get escorted by the police...
Extra security for cheating?
Crazy stuff
Audiomuse 4 years ago
Because it is a really important exam for one's life, the police escorts students woke up late or couldn't get the transportation in time.

What was going on with the police bringing students to the test? Do the students call the equivalent of 9-1-1 when they're late to that test?
