Genuine question this, how come these two even met eachother I thought Penguins only live in the Antarctic area and that Great Whites can only survive in warm waters...
@Soundgardener80 African penguins and great white sharks share habitat off Dyer Island, located off the southwestern coast of Africa. Great white sharks can be found in almost all coastal and offshore waters where water temps are between 54 - 75 degrees, and tracking studies show that great whites migrate between Australia and S. Africa and between northern California and Hawaii. Water temps at Dyer Island are around 55 - 60 degrees F.

@OceanFuturesSociety I don't mean to sound really stupid, great whites tend to go for much larger prey rather than smaller animals like penguins. However, other shark species such as the blacktip reef, tiger and oceanic whitetip definitely would have attacked and killed this penguin.
@Soundgardener80 wow you may think so but most penguin species live in africa and warm waters are fine to them but in antartica penguins there even dont mind the cold water. but penguins have coats over there fat that helps them survive in there habitats duh!
