@PhoenixGoddess1983 yes, i have a habit of responding to myself...lol...but I just want to say that this win is up w/ my all-time faves, even though it wasn't a DSW.
@JonSea31 Obviously he was pressed for time, and he wanted to acknowledge the record-setting moment. It happened from time to time that Bob skipped the spay/neuter PSA.
When I watch the Three Strikes game the three strikes are considered the enemy of the game and the best way to beat them is having a cool strategy to tame the game.
notice how Bob gave her the order of the actual price of the car in reverse as he put the numbers in the bag...wonder if they still do that??? cheating huh?
$88,865 stood for the longest time on TPIR until it was finally beaten on TPIR's 6,000th show. Then that was beaten on the start of the 35th season (Bob's last season) with over $147,000.
On the 6000th show a girl named Amy won a Cadillac and a Thurnderbird ($97,000). Her day-time record held for quite some time until Vicky-Ann came alone.
To be exact on the total amount that Sheena won, it was 183,688. I can still remember in 2005 when I read the Go Figure section of Sports Illustrated (a forum somewhere on the Internet has all the Go Figure weekly updates), and the part that described the number 183,688 end with "a record haul for the show" (the show being The Price is Right, of course)
I don't know if anyone realizes this, but it seems strange for everyone to believe that Vickyann holds the daytime record. She does not, and what's even more interesting is that the record was set before Vickyann's appearance. In 2005, Eastern Oregon's then-freshman softball player Sheena Lindhorn won over $180,000 in cash and prizes.
And as of now, I believe the daytime record is still standing for VickyAnn who won $147,517 on the 35th Season Premiere, and some guy named Adam holds the record for primetime shows of TPIR...
Haha I get all this information on "The Price is Right Timeline" where they have a list of every season, every week, and what significant events happened....

Sorry to burst ur bubble, But not very much research done when this video was posted...
There's a video posted 3/7/08 of some guy winning $1,127,062.00 in cash and prizes. And better yet, On 2/20/08 there was a video posted of a guy winning $1,153,908.00 cash and prizes. So $89,000.00 is pennies, compared to those other winners...
This winner was one of the records when TPIR *was* TPIR. The show should have been canceled when Bob retired. I've tried to watch it with Drew but its just not the same. My prediction: TPIR Canceled in 2009 or 2010.
What I love is Danielle's very vocal supporter in the audience giving her helpful suggestions. "And THREE! THIRTY THOUSAND DOLLARS DANIELLE!" "Leave 'em out Bob, DON'T PUT 'EM IN BOB!" and later "FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS!" in the Showcase.
Actually, it happens again a few times later...it was another episode where Toni won that Porsche on "The Price is Right" approximately 1 month later from this late...
Maybe at that time it was the biggest winner. But, in season 35 somebody won over $140,000 in prizes in daytime and on the mds this year the million has been won twice.
did ya'll notice some girl in the audience yell "COME ON BOB, LET HER PULL THAT 3!!!" before she won the Lincoln?

The name of this video is wrong. In 1999 an asian woman won 3 cars on her showcase on the price is right.

@maria1956ist Her total was still lower than $88,865.00

Did she have to donate $13,865 to charity cause she was over the $75,000 limits.

Bob Barker neglected to say his signature "help control the pet population" closing line at the end of the show.
And Bob Barker seemed to have pronounced Danielle like Dan-E-Elle.

If she would have big $50,870, not only she would have won both showcases, but the first tpir winner to pass the $100,000 mark.

If that man had bid $15K even, he would have won his showcase instead of Danielle winning her showcase.
