You noticed that! The basic wanted half-pipe is mixed up by the new Gen-dumb. The new skateparks are designed much better. These parks have great lines to be drawn. Way better than other "sports". And it seems people act like it's a fluke to see some youngster flying in the park and that it's a kid's sport also settling for street style. These bigger parks are actually safer to crash on. If I was 40 I'd still try to learn it. I'd satisfy with a simple 180 aireal. Top 10 parks is way not enough

Skating is about beer, bowls, broads, and buddys. Skating is what you do because you love it. just any other reason. I'm only 21 and feel that this digression in skateboarding is sickening.

man Im with you. I have a tight knit crew I skate with but all the sessions we go to no matter where are all about fun and self expression,not fascist moves..... smokin a bowl, drinkin some brews and just shredding with the homies!!!!!! I hate kooks,the people who think they are so much "better" than everyone else.I think the real skaters are the ones having the most fun. keep it real man.

Where has all the style gone in skating? These guys just flow like they were made for it. We need a re-birth in smooth-ness. I love watching the younger generation of skaters to but although they are technically proficient the skating is stale and uninspired..mostly.

@venture790 Well, back then, there weren't as many tricks so when they did for example, a backside air, they had to put their own style on it to stand out from the rest.Also, the boards, equipment was vastly different and changing year to year;it was moving too fast to standardize anything.Today, everything is homogenized.
