When I was a youngster, we were taught in school that a "Natural Born Citizen" was someone who was born on American soil or property (i.e. - military base or military vessel at sea) and was born to parents who were both American citizens.

To me, it doesn't even matter if Obama was born in America or Kenya because Barry's dad was not an American, but a Kenyan. Which, of course, means that Barry is not a Natural Born Citizen.

Probably because it is not true. Nowhere in the entire US legal code, including the Constitution, is there a definition for Natural Born Citizen. The closest there is under US law is the 14th Amendment defining Natural Citizen as one born in the US or its Territories or one born outside the US to two citizen parents. As long as you are born in the US, it does not matter what citizenship your parents hold. Barack Obama is eligible under US law. That is why he is President.

I do not know what is so complecated about reading our constitution. That says to be an elegible president of of our country the canidate must be a natural born american citizen. (Natural born means both parents must be american citizens)

You are half right. The Constitution does say that the President must be a natural born citizen. But nowhere in the Constitution do they define the term. Nowhere in the entire US legal canon does any law define the term. The definition that says a NBC must have two citizen parents comes from a book written in French by a Swiss jurist in 1754. It is not part of US law. See, not so complicated. NBC means nothing legally in the United States.

I'm a fellow veteran of the Army as well. Maybe someday the Supreme Court will define Natural Born Citizen. But they haven't yet, they seem to be in no hurry to do so, and if they did, it would not be retroactive. So Obama remains President. The 14th Amendment defines Natural Citizenship as being obtained by birth in this country (jus soli). That is the only thing we have to verify the eligibiltiy of a candidate. As long as Obama was born in Hawaii, he is in.

It's fairly obvious to me that somebody who was at birth a British citizen cannot also be a "natural born American citizen." If a foreign power has jurisdiction over you at birth you are not a natural born American citizen! Nothing "vanishes," your status is established at birth! The President of the United States is not to hold dual citizenship with any foreign country, don't even go there!

I work for a printer. Print houses don't keep paper used that long ago. It would have yellowed, no one would really buy it. So would be extremely hard to find. Then inks have changed since then. The way they can date things will be able to show that the ink was applied recently. Moreover type styles we use today, are not the identical. They used foundry type & typewriters & negs. No antique carbon ribbon that old will still work, especially in Hawaii. If he did have a real one, it's been sealed.
