@baskuk You are mistaken; the bible is very clear: Jesus was God incarnated in the flesh. The entire bible is about Jesus! It is that "open ended" view point that you have which creates confusion. The bible is the infalliable, inerrant, word of God. CS Lewis put it very well thus; (see next post)

@baskuk So your saying that because Jesus prayed to the Father that "proves" he wasn't God? No at all! Jesus came also to be an example to us. If you are to accept Jesus as only a man then His sacrifce was of no effect to save us from sin. Why would God even bother? For the redemptive sacrifice to save us from our sin, He HAD to have been God, other wise there is no reason to even read the bible because it is only a fairy tale about a man who claimed to be God and died.

@baskuk What is your basis for saying that...? Jesus prayed as an example to us! And it is certainly NOT going with flow to believe that Jesus was (and is) God...! It is more in keeping with the flow of this world to not believe! (IE to think like you...) there are smarter people than you or I that believe. Don't you suppose it possible just maybe that you are blind? that you are deceived? Is it remotely possible that these things transcend our "logic" and reach to our spirits?

When my daughter was first pregnant we say a 6 week fetus the size of a jellybean having a heartbeat, veins, etc....things like that don't just happen....someone has to be in control. Also if there is no accountability, why not live it up, live for self, lie, steal etc....what the heck, it's not like you're going to be punished....how sad that people who have no hope want to also take ours!! So? Keep in mind that the year is 1776. Mr. Darwin was not to even be born for another 33 years - the idea of naturalism was sparse. This NDE story about the attack part is true. When you first die, if your going to hell your put in dark nothing with a little light shinning on you for a while. After that light closes, damned souls will grab you, bite you and suck on your flesh. They will try to rip you apart as well and eventually drag you down to hell with them. Anecdotal testimony isn´t strong enough. When relaying a supernatural event, many people unintentionally omit details and anomalies that could have logically explained the event. Also, if I had to believe an extraordinary event took place based soley on anecdotes, I would be believing every wild tale under the sun, you can´t pick and choose which supernatural events to believe and dismiss based on the same weak evidence.
