Its called a pinch harmonic, basic stuff but always sounds great

when you pick, quickly make your thumb(picking hand) softly tap the string. That plus a good wide vibrato will make that "howling" noise. Different guitars have different "Sweet" spots though so you may wanna move your picking hand from spot to spot til you find where it is. Mine tends to be just under the neck pickup
