Same with the dead Hindus when Pakistan gained indipendence. Japan isn't super religious as a whole anymore and Bhuddhism and Shintoism are sort of tame. And how many words came from Classical Mythology? The days of the weak are named after Norse Gods etc. etc. People follow religion because it's how they're raised.
