  • does anyone know the song that plays when the cargo ship exits hyper space and tries to deccelerate in the earth's atmosphere. its not in the video but it is in the episode.

  • I really like SG-1. One of the few TV programs I liked.

  • can they have saved some drones for atlantis like rlly, it should have taken maybe 50 not 1000

  • @MattSniper117 Actually, Anubis had significantly upgraded the shields on his ships, to the point where even the Asgard had trouble destroying them. The Jaffa says that the shields were of no use, but in reality, they probably allowed the ships to take more hits from the Drones. Just not enough to survive the battle. Also, Anubis's mothership was probably about 3-4 times as large as his other Ha'Taks, so that probably helped too.

  • wouldnt you be so pissed off if you were anubis since your MUCH MUCH BIGGER ship seems to be doing shit all damage to what appears to be a space ship we built in someones back shed ;)

  • Those shields lasted forever, and when they veered off course, it was in the wrong direction from the previous scene :P If the drones in the Antarctic outpost were constructed before they left for Pegasus, then it stands to reason Atlantis would have stronger weapons due to their war with the Wraith. If only they hadn't fubbed up the way they did with the Asurans....friendly loving replicators overwhelming the Wraith but not hating their creators would have probably been their salvation.

  • for the shields failing they sure took a lot of hits by Anubis' ship's weapons..they really did overkill on the drones.. but maybe these drones weren't as powerful as the one's in Atlantis

  • our shields are of no use

  • one drone can take out multiple deathgliders before the energy inside them run out. they don't behave like conventional missiles that do damage only my exploding. the anceints' drones have shielding that allows them to cut through material like a knife through butter. only when their shield energy depletes that the drone explodes.

  • @MassDynamic Hey, their is also a possibility that drones emit the same energy as a unstable vortex of a stargate worm whole, which anything in contact will be disintegrated on a cellular level. Imagine if 1 ZPM is used just to power one drones shield, thats alot of damage that single drone can do.

  • @AlienwareM0621 Yea, that would be a cool idea, but the energy distribution might be unstable for just 1 drone, it might not work or something else might go wrong, but the idea is nice :D

  • @MassDynamic That might actually be true. In the pilot for Atlantis, when Carson diverts the drone he accidentally fired, it shuts down and hits the ground, but doesn't explode. That would make sense with this theory. Hell, they probably could've even retrieved that drone and fired it again if they knew how.

  • "SIR, WE ARE ABOUT TO GET OUR ASSE-"

    "Their NOT Goa'uld".

  • "AND I WOULD HAVE CONQUERED THE EARTH IF IT WASN'T FOR YOU MEDDLING KIDS!"

  • Anubis- You are too late, the power of the Ancients is mine.

Jack- Get out of my way!

  • that was a great episode.. the old prometheus didn't have any weapons but rail guns and missiles not much fire power

  • i like when the drones drill through the anubis hatak and leaving like nothing happend

  • love bratac's face. it looked like magic to him and I guess it's supposed to look like that, because it's ancientttttt

  • poor anubis, he was such a boss. probably their best enemy,.

  • mutch difrent they fired difrently then the drones in atlantis

  • Best show on TV!

  • Compared to the destruction a few drones can do, I think they went overboard with them in this :P

  • I could swear I heard Team America's song when the Prometheus arrived: "Prometheus!, F*ck yeah! Coming again to save the motherf***ing day yeah! Prometheus! F*ck yeah! Freedom is the only way. Goa'uld your game is through cause now you have to answer to Prometheus, F*ck yeah! So lick my butt, and suck on my drones!
  • The drones fit perfectly with the soccer ball thing.

  • bloody hell, i forgot what tealc looked like when he was bald.

  • nooooooooooooooooooooo

  • in a episode the ancients have a gun who blow a hive with some schoots

  • the little faces on the drones is kinda funny.. and if u notice they use a hell of a lot of drones later in the show they cut back on the number of drones it takes to take out a ship

  • Anubis built his ship using some knowledge of the Ancients, so you need more drones than usual to destroy Anubis' ship.

  • evidently not

  • Probably because it costs to much money to have thousands of drones at a time.

  • @victor2cutube Yea i noticed the number of drones to, there was to many drones it looked like a beam. The drones in Atlantis used against the Wraith are far less numbered. I wonder if Tauri are able to produce them?

  • @victor2cutube they never had 30+ ships to fight off....ever

  • @victor2cutube That is very true. In this clip it is sorta overkill.

  • @victor2cutube Think of these drones as the Mark 1 version and the ones used on Atlantis as the Mark 4 or 5. I'm sure the Lanteans made improvements to drone tech during their time in the Pegasus Galaxy.

  • @victor2cutube 2 drones take out 1 ha'tak so yeah there were thousands of drones there and about 30 ha'taks and 1 mothership loss of drones 100 max 200

  • @victor2cutube they look like little alien insects/animals! creepy!

  • @victor2cutube in sga or sg1? in sga they only take out little scout wraith ships

  • @victor2cutube Those were older drones, about 5 million or so years old. The new drones, like the one in Atlantis or on Aurora class ships, are more potent and have better shielding that allows them to penetrate the shields better.

  • @awesomedudemee forgot to finish, penetrate enemy shields using less drones and they explode bigger.

  • Really love how the "pillar" of Drone weapons lashed out against the Deathgliders on the way up, as if they were slapping some annoying bugs out of the way.

  • i just love this, episode even more so when you learn how many ship where taken out.

    30 + ships

  • this was a good episode

  • How exactly did they explain this one to the public?

  • Meteor shower.

  • A very big meteor shower :D

What if someone managed to get a telescope on that though?

  • The government would deny the existence of alien life and denounce the person as a cackpot.

  • someone almost did.... in a later episode.

  • people would belive him crazy if he say something

  • He cloned an Asguard to prove it.

  • A-NOOOOOOOOOOB-IS

  • the best fight ever because of the Prometheus the best battlecruiser of the earth

  • they look like jellyfish :)

  • The ancients are the most awesome beings to ever have existed.

  • BEST scene period!

  • epic

  • The look on Pratecs (I'm not sure how it's spelled that's just a guess) face just says it all. I don't think the old man ever looked happier once the entire series.

  • Bra'tac

  • This is the best scene in all of Stargate, bar none. Ancient technology once again showing that it is far superior to everything else. Anubis = pawned

  • the asguard are 10,000 years more advanced then the ancietns..what i mean is..they have lived 10,000 years longer and have had time to catch up and even in some cases surpass in technology

  • why not calvin? dont you think a weapon you can control even after its fired is better to defend a planet than a beam weapon which can only fire in one direction?

  • True, but aside from combat effectiveness, we must determine practicality of the weapon. I don't just win the battle, I win the war. How do you suppose we would fight after we run out of drones? Beam weapon can be utilized by a power source only. Drones need spares and a power source. How do you suppose we make more drones???

  • They also need someone with the special gene in there blood, now that (as far as I know) the Ancient's are extinct.

General O' Neill has the gene, and Colonal Shepperd from SGA.

(O' Neill got promoted after Hammon left)

So actually finding someone who can work the throne chairs would be a pain aswell.

  • not really you can extract the gene and put it into another human (watch SGA)

  • Yeah, there still testing it. Also, I liked Michael on SGA. Although he was, literally, a half-breed(hybrid), I still liked him. (Exlcuding his evilness)

Also, why the heck did they kill the last remainign Asgard?

Sure they were srota evil, but they should have kept them. There cute. :3

  • well, the ancients do have beam weapons, their defense satallite has a weapon that could pwn a hive with one shot, that shows it superior to the asgard weapons, im sure the ancients had more weaponry than their drones. Remember that this is only a small ancient outpost that is a ground connector for atlantis

  • Well your right about that part. But what about Atlantis? It's suppose to be all the good stuff. Tell me why they don't have beam weapons on Atlantis then? I mean Antarctica sure because it's just an outpost. But if I were to design the primary city of a technological advance race. I would expect to not only have primary weapons but secondary weapons. Much like the missile battery on the Phoenix after beam weapons failed.

  • Atlantis is an intergalactic space craft and you have more manuverability if you use drone weapons. eg you can release the drones and jump into hyperspace and the drones destroy the target, beam weapons youhave to stick around and get fired on.

  • Actually, the Drones need a constant supply of power else they will shut down

  • yeah... whats your point???

  • Atlantis probably did not have such weapons because the Ancients never expected any resistance when they took control of the Pegasus. Their ships can outgun and outrun anything. They also had many more city ships and war ships protected by their weapons satellites that were deployed as the outer boundary around Atlantis.

Therefore, there was absolutely no need for advanced weapons. Also, the reason why the Wraith could destroy such well defended planet was because they had ZPMs.

  • they only could destroy them by increasing their numbers exponentially using their cloning technology enhanced by ZPMs, they won through overwhelming numbers

  • I wanted to say that but there was not much space... but yea.

OMG watching this vid again makes me scream at the ppl who canceled the show.. :@:@

  • indeed. both SG-1 and Atlantis could have gone on for a few more seasons before the movies, I only hope that SGU won't dissapoint

  • it sort of is

  • any weapons like what? sorry i missed most of this conversation

  • also remember atlantis is just a small city outpost, the ancients would have a whole planet with there city on protected by there sattelites and there warships

  • drones.

  • The best chapter in the Season 8.

  • season 8? This is the last episode of season 7

  • who ever says the Prometheus is a crap ship is obviously wrong its a brilliant ship i wish i had one

  • FUCK the Ori! They were just added to fill in some sort of gap.

  • go Goa'uld! lol

  • The thing that ruined it for me was the "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!" at the end. Every bad guy says it. Though it was cool with Anubis saying it.

  • That would've been a godly ending to the series, much better than that ori crap.

    5 STARS!

  • Agree, though it was cool to see Daniel with Merlins powers

  • Ya. Season 7 was one of the greatest seasons, then it just went downhill from there. This would have been cool. Anubis comes back, and makes a final attempt to destroy Earth. Ya. I can imagine it now.

  • i hope Anubis comes back at the new Stargate movie

  • one of the best part!

  • this is the best part of the whole stargate series
