  • Of course it was planned and scripted. ALL flash mobs are planned, whether it's part of a commercial or not. Part of the enjoyment is watching the reactions of the people who aren't in on the whole thing.

  • Bellissimo!!!

  • Someone should to do this for the military! Right when they come home!

  • @bigvelvet12 well, not everyone likes the idea of welcoming people that were killing other people for ''oil''... so set up their families, that should do.

  • So basically what we are watching is a commercial that was totally planned and scripted all the way through and nothing about it is unplanned. So there is nothing that is different about this commercial then your average run of the mill commercial on TV. I had hoped that this one was genuinely real but I guess not, so it loses a lot of it's appeal to me, call me an optimist but I really wanted to think that people could be nice to each other and strangers on a whim, what a shame!

  • @dianecaudle ...the singing was scripted....but the passengers reactions weren't!....which is the whole point.

  • @dianecaudle Well, I agree. If they were all in on it, then this is no fun. But I cannot believe Improveverywhere to do that. They tend to like to see how unaware people react to their performances. With everybody in on it, it wouldn't be fun to see any reactions, and sort of wasted time. This is Improveverywhere, right?

  • Wow this must have been amazing for you to actually be there, part of the atmosphere! Thanks for posting :)

  • What song were they singing starting at 00:16?? okease and thank you

  • it wouldve been funny if the planes were late (:

  • Actors? Obviously some were but not all, what would be the point. I'm just waiting for the first idiot to say that when they did the Karaoke event in Trafalgar Square they used 13,500 actors!!!!

  • love camera phones, shame people cant use them properly, I feel sick !!!

  • okay, i have no idea how they could all those numbers with unique random passengers in one take

  • ... I thought they were saying "Return of the Man"... is it Mack..??

  • The ones arriving home are NOT actors- they are actual passengers who are being surprised on their arrival home.

  • @sallyannlady Yes, some of them are. The ones with the microphones singing away are actors though...

  • @silvarbullet1 They're not exactly actors- they're singers who have all gone thru auditions to be a part of this, then, after a lot of rehearsal, they welcome actual passengers at the airport with singing. I've seen interviews with people who were sung to- they were all totally surprised. This is such a fantastic thing to do- even if it WAS a commercial.

  • I get goosepimples when i see this video :') watch the actual advert in HD

Watch this video in High Definition

    /watch?v=GrV02KxIgLE

  • well done it cheared me up lets get together and do a real special one for the solders

  • I love al of these life is for sharing add they really make me smile and yea they should do one of these for the solders that would be a tre at for our boys to come home to?

How do we get involved in doing one of these adverts

  • No, really, some of arriving ones are actors, ain't they?

  • @OptimisticTV Yes, most, if not all are actors

  • @photoreaderuk Then it's not so touching :D

  • @OptimisticTV not completely, I agree but it's like smiling. A real smile will boost your endorphines (happy hormones) greatly but a fake smile will do too. So I guess it's the case of fake it until you make it. Representations of things are still valid and can be enjoyable.

  • @OptimisticTV Yes, some of them are. The ones with the microphones singing away are actors, the rest, are not....

Bearing in mind this is T5 on a normal day, there are real people getting off aeroplanes who need to come through here.

And there are real family/friends waiting for the passengers?

  • @OptimisticTV watch the making of.

  • @OptimisticTV

Only the ones who are singing upon arrivals are actors, everyone else coming in are everyday people...

  • how many takes did they do?

  • @immo121 probably over 80 takes in 15 hour shooting day

  • @photoreaderuk actually they just rehearsed alot and did it all at once there it was all hidden cameras and they had the one time to get it right

  • agh. this is definitely better than the official ad, you can just FEEL the excitement humming in the crowd. how awesome.

  • @junkiewhywhy 50 center

  • If you came home from your holidays and this was going on, you'd feel a a lot better about arriving back in the UK that what you normally would!

  • id love to say it was completly real but the people coming out seem to be timed far to nicly. had there been gaps in the songs to wait for people to come in i would belive it but i think its all trolling!

  • @8e06 I was there, yes they are all actors

  • @joss885 i would love to take part in one of these though it would be sweet!

  • @8e06 fuck piss cock shit

  • I miss London very much, I lived there for about 10 years between mid 80's and 90's..; ;

  • WOW WOW and WOW, makes you proud to be British for a change.... I LOVE THIS TOWNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN... Oops thats a quote from the ghost buster movie LMAO

  • at 0.22 on every single video of this behind the scenses that mans voice is always way louder than everyone elses. he does what seems to be a bit of ad libbing. starting to think he is nothing to do with this :p

  • As the third in the series, I didn't expect much. Wrong! They did a great job. And yes, all staged, but it doesn't diminish it. Is there something so dreadfully wrong with a bit of enjoyable and heartwarming adverts as opposed to the garbage we are usually subject to?

And guys, the political debate is funny until it gets ugly. leave it at the door and come on in. -c-

  • Of course it's all staged and of course they're all actors - couldn't get this sort of timing unless they were. Take it for what it is - a commercial designed to create profile for T Mobile and as a commercial, it's brilliant. TV, Viral, Editorial Profile, it has it all. Never been very proud of my English Heritage but this sort of creativity gets me close.

  • Let us be well and happy today! All of us...wherever we are. Make someone smile today.

  • Milton you seem like a miserable person in written word. I hope you aren't as depressive in your daily life. Yes, it's an add...a clever one at that, but if it brought smiles to the hearts and faces of even just one or two people...was it not fully worth the endeavor?

In a world of war, violence, anger, hunger, and at times utter dismay, why can't we celebrate a tiny video clip that bring some light to our existence? Besides, advertisement or not. I'm still not changing my wireless provider. ;)

  • I have mixed emotions. 1) It's well done. 2) Epic lack of security. 3) Some of the women are very fit. 4) They are probably liberals. 5) The ones arriving are bound to be actors too. 6) Ah bollocks, I like it :D

  • @Tim733733 I really like you honest and detailed reaction - and very accurate indeed.

  • @Tim733733 ...probably liberals? what kind of pathetic comment is this? bet you are some bible bashing right wing american....anyway London rocks! it is a melting pot of people and spontanuity..love it!

  • @adaminhoxton Typical liberal. Assuming I'm American, without even bothering to see I'm English in my pfofile, having a whinge about something, as a typical liberal terrorist hugging cunt would do. Back to your rainbow flags dickhead.

  • @Tim733733 I agree with number 4 alot

  • @Tim733733 all those that appear are actors, the set was paid for and all those filmed saying how cool it was are also paids actors, I was there and saw then all come in on the same coach. Its a total fraud. all miked and mixed later with other voices added, in real life sounded a bit shit

  • @joss885 LMAO, well watever the heck it was it was bloody awesome... Besides they was some clown who wrote on here the lack of security was poor.. So no matter wat your always gonna have some one moaning about it... LIKE you LMAO

  • @venomgold maybe you could get a job with them, T mobile are a bunch of idiots and thier phones are shit

  • @joss885 awwww... Wat have you got against them. I hope you never use to work for them and got fired... My niece worked for them she said they are idiots hahaaha

  • @venomgold just hate this consumerist shit. No i wouldnt lower myself to work for mobile phone cunts

  • @Tim733733 Lack of security? You don't think TMobile (well, the agency) talked to T5 for months before doing this? There are probably more CCTV cameras in T5 than people...

  • I love how amazing this sounded.

  • George Michael & Aretha Franklin - I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me)

    was the best!

  • N'awww I would love to come home after being on a holiday to this. It would make my day =') Absolutely my favourite advert so far.

  • people have to doing just that life is buti enjoy music and relation this what we do

  • Well done someone needs to find a way this can be done for a plane full of solders coming home . talk about a great thing

  • @nathan12291

lets put heads together and come up with it then!

if an ad agency (with a staff of what, 150) can do it, why cant 86000 people?!

  • @nathan12291 god yeah, what a great idea!!!!

  • @nathan12291 a S400 usually helps!! :)

  • I'M GETTING SO FUCKING SICK OF THESE CORPORATIONS taking the SPONTANEITY and GENUINE PURPOSE out of flash-mobs and ruining them. It is so sad how your marketing departments are now THAT unoriginal they can no longer come up with creative ad campaigns on their own and they instead rip-off and DEVALUE something truly artistic people of our generation created.

  • @milton123 devalue? this is awesome, it's funny the majority of Britain's population loved this advert so much that, after seeing it last night for the first time on t.v, they've all come back on to youtube to watch it over and over again... I must have played this roughly 12 times already and i intend to continue to watch it. Everyone in the video is enjoying themselves and the public response video was all positive. I can't see a possible reason why you or anyone would comment negatively

  • @BOYCV3 unfortunately this is the problem. the "general population" doesn't seem to grasp the situation. lemme pose it to you like this, what do you think t-mobile is? do you think they cared about putting smiles on the random peoples faces. do you think that was their purpose of doing this? do you think they would have done this type of stunt if "flashmobs" weren't certified view-magnets? you don't seem to have a true artistic appreciation to see why this devalues the very idea of a flashmob

  • @milton123 I'd be willing to wager that most, if not all "flashmob" events end up on the net to be viewed as entertainment regardless of their purpose or origins. Besides, how can you call other flashmobs truly spontaneous when it requires X amount of people 'in the know' to create? Just because this particular one was made by a corporation to use in an advertising campaign doesn't make it any less entertaining (IMHO)

  • @AKAThugsley Of course flashmobs are entertaining. they're meant to be artistic and entertaining. That's not my problem, my problem is exactly as you phrased it "regardless of their purpose/origins". THIS IS MY POINT. The purpose/origin is JUST AS IMPORTANT, it should not be overlooked. You all have the attitude of as long as I get MINE. As long as i'm entertained who cares where it came from.

  • @milton123 artistic and entertaining!!! are they also meant to be solely for consumerist commercial reasons

  • @AKAThugsley The other REAL improv groups create and organize, yes, but they don't HIRE professional dancers and singers and shoot MULTIPLE TAKES just to get the best looking version!! Ask yourself this, do u think these people would have done this if they weren't getting PAID? Doing retakes trying to play it off like it was spontaneous sets a perception of the public too high and false for the NOW REAL ARTISTS who do this kind of thing from the heart.

  • @milton123 agree its all a consumerist con. check out the channel by brandhijack employed by T mobile pretending to be a normal user of this site

  • @milton123 Does it matter whether they meant to put a smile on people's faces or not? They did, whether it was just to make money or not, they created a beautiful happy moment for us all to share. Maybe it's you who doesn't have "a true artistic appreciation" to see that this is beautiful both artistically and emotionally. You are finding problems that do not exist.

  • @BOYCV3 im agree AGREE with you BOYCV3

  • Wankers- If you like this your head must be made of cheese.

    Well done t-mobile

  • @jub2003 just saw it on Dave and i have to say the same love the last part

  • @jub2003 I must say that this one is much more dynamic than the official T-Mobile one. It really shows the spirit of the event. As you can see the girls are really enjoying themselves and everyone is rocking...

  • @photoreaderuk I just love the way t-mobile do these the Pink one at Trafalgar square / Liverpool street station ,bringing smiles to peoples faces , tears to their eyes having the ability to really make someone smile and touch base with emotion from an advert is a very special thing , Brilliant

  • @photoreaderuk comment by employee of T Mobile

  • @photoreaderuk Whilst I agree that it has more of a buzz feel than the advert, the constant shifting of the camera left me feeling a tad on the queasey side.

  • Comment removed
