Thanks for that. I'll add it to the little knowledge I have of Brian James, London SS, the 100 Club, the Bromley Contingent and the mass wave of GOTH that WASN'T infesting London at that time.

In fact, the way I remember it, the word PUNK was never mentioned until twats like Bill Grundy jumped on the bandwagon.

Therefore PUNK as an attitude is a bit of a contradiction.

I seem to remember it was more working-class roots rock n'roll bands rebelling against the 'Superband' dross.

Did anyone ever find a copy/link to this remake of The Damned History of the World remix yet??? Why didn't Lance get recognized for his part at the Transworld Skate awards? Thrasher? Not that it matters really.. I guess.

The Guy that co-produced this was the same man that wrote the music for Black Hawk Down/ Gladiator/ The Pirates of the Carribean movies and tons of others .... Hans Zimmer. To quote Wikipedia...In 1980 Zimmer co-produced a single, "The History Of The World Part 1," with, and for, UK Punk band The Damned, which was also included on their 1980 LP release, "The Black Album," and carried the description of his efforts as "Over-Produced by Hans Zimmer."
