  • And why is the piano player singing "carry map weight"

  • He does Paul McCartney better than Paul McCartney

  • Brad was a truly great and wonderful person. I like Boston, but his Beatles "Tribute Band" were true philanthropists. They helped Methuen High and probably many others by putting on performances to help raise funds desperately needed for School Music Programs. RIP Brad your reward is in heaven.

  • Brad rocks in either Boston, RTZ or Beatlejuice, so in the end that pure talent --- Unlike Tom Shultz who ruined the bank by his uber perfectionism.

  • @spitballking Just so you know It's Scholz.

  • Hard to believe he is dead. We guys from the 70s and 80s miss you, Brad.

    RIP

  • WHAT A VOICE!

  • what a VOICE

  • Steve is a great guy..taught my son piano :)

  • So heartbreaking.

  • One of the most classic voices in all of rock. R.I.P. Brad. We miss you.

  • Man, Brad Delp performing at a high school?! Those kids sure are damn lucky! I bet a lot of them don't even realize who they are seeing! A wonderful, legendary rock and roll singer!

  • Wow, I never knew he did this Beatle thing. Very nice Mcartney immitation.

  • Torn between feeling cheated because Brad is gone and grateful that the Lord called him home for some peace. Too many singers sound alike, or have no feeling in what they sing, but every great once in awhile comes a singer with a voice all his own that is never duplicated. I'm glad we got him as long as we did and hope to see him in concert in the afterlife.

  • can you imagine working with the BEST vocalist's in the history of rock! rip Brad..

  • rest in peace Brad

  • it's horrible that this man committed suicide. he had such an exceptional voice and seemed like such a nice person. arrrgh!

  • does a pretty good job of McCartney. sounds a lot like him. Brad rocks. Paul rocks, too. Great combination.

  • I will always love Brad. He will always be one of my all-time favorite singers. I was lucky enough to see him perform live around 9 times. Not only did he have an incredible voice, but he had one of the warmest personalities of any singer I've ever seen. He had a smile that would light up the whole arena. I sure miss him.

  • NH Lost an ICON when Brad past away. I live in Nashua and was a HUGE fan of Brads music..

  • Why is the keyboardist saying "carry map weight"??

  • wow! amazing vocal..I wonder if Sir Paul could sing Boston??

  • @BASS4HIREJAXFL Sir Paul could sing happy birthday and sell out the stadium..

  • @jimmydcap Yes, because his band was much more popular. He can sing, no doubt. But if there were actually a contest based on the solo performer without any band history, I believe Brad would easily win

  • Thank you for sharing this. One of my favorites of all videos.

  • barkpeeler2000, that is something I've always thought. What a great voice Brad had.

  • what a great job doing this song, they sound better doing this than Boston (with Delp) sounds doing Boston live, lol!

  • everybody that is really talented dies too soon. i was sad brad was gone for not only him but for selfish reasons. he gave me great joy.

  • I can't even fathom having Brad Delp sing at my high school. My heart is still sad. Rest In Peace Mr. Delp.

  • Sorry; so what year was this? New to the discussion. Still can't believe he died in such a way.

  • There are no words to express the gratitude I feel toward Brad Delp nor the sadness I have felt since his passing. He inspired and uplifted so many. May he never be forgotten and may his music live on forever.

  • Brad Delp = one of the greatest voices of classic rock! Even when he did Paul McCartney / Beatles songs with Beatlejuice!

  • Beatle Juice original lineup here:

    Brad Delp - Vocals, guitar

Joe Holaday - bass guitar, vocals

Steve Baker - keyboards, guitar, vocals

Bob Squires - lead guitar, vocals

    John Muzzy - drums

  • What a voice

    Brad was the best

  • Brad's two favorite groups were The Beatles and Orpheus. As a kid, he would hitchhike to see every performance of Orpheus. He credited a lot of his vocal style and harmonizing to intese study of both Paul McCartney and Bruce Arnold. Brad got to met his two idols in the late 1970's and went on to record several tracks with Bruce at George Lucas' Skywalker Ranch in 1988. He told Bruce that one of his life's dreams had been fulfilled and if he got the chance to sing with Paul, he'd die a happy man.

  • Very lovingly done and a reall treat to watch. Thank you for sharing!!

  • He's so good!! Brad really sounds like Paul here!! I LOVE the Beatles & Boston - My two favorite bands!! :)

  • Wow! Amazing cover. Sounds just as good as the original if I may be so bold.

  • Brad your legacy will go n and on , i simply love your voice , thankyou .

  • I never realized he could sound like McCartney, only with more range of course lol.

this vid and youtube is one of the few reasons I raelly appreciate the internet.

RIP to one of the best singers EVER!

    peace out

  • Wow. What a talent.

  • wow this is one of the best covers of this song i've ever heard

  • So glad I found this.

    _Scott

  • The guitar player (Bob Squires) is my guitar teacher ^_^

  • I met Brad in 1992 when my band warmed up RTZ in upstate NY! I have never seen Beatlejuice till now. I'm in awe!!

    R.I.P Brad

  • @MrColbrot the world would be a better place if it were you and not him.

  • i saw these guys in somerville 3yrs ago, before brad offed himself..

  • Comment removed

  • @MrColbrot - Show some fucking respect.

  • you have no respect for anybody do you?

  • Wow, he sang the Beatles awesome!

  • @BrianMorrison71 ahh thats brad delp, do you know who he is??cause he had one of the best rock voices of the 80's-90's...you know with "BOSTON"?

  • Holy crap, thanks newhampshirevideo, for posting this. I didn't even realize this group existed. I am a lifelong Beatles fan and usually find Beatles cover or tribute bands to be cheesy-- at best. Beatlejuice was AMAZING!!! So sad to lose a cool guy with an amazing voice like Brad Delp. This video brings tears to my eyes. Really incredible, these guys really capture the spirit of The Beatles.

  • A few weeks ago, I heard my teacher play Don't Look Back on her computer, and I flipped out.

"I was like Boston! Boston! Oh my god, I love them!" My teacher couldn't help but laugh at my excitement.

If Brad Delp ever showed up at my school, I probably wouldn't be able to speak. I'd have so many emotions running through me, complete happiness, laughter, I would probably cry, and feel very serious at the same time.

They've done so much for me. Words cannot describe how much they've helped me.

  • HEY BOB! This is so great to see and hear some of the new postings. This is some important work - we just played - it was like playing - a bunch of kids playing together in the basement - turned out to be pretty fine and we're all lucky to be able to see these - and remember - MANY MANY THANKS. Bobby

  • Brad Delp- one of the greatest ever. that he died before i was able to see him is something i'll always regret.

  • I wonder what McCartney would think. I'll bet he'd have loved it.

  • brad was a great friend of our families and even to this day he is very much missed i do have a signed drum stick from him he signed at one of these beatle juice shows they did at salem high

  • i couldn't watch this whole thing without crying. :( i miss Brad so much.

  • Brad, hope you know how much we miss you! RIP

  • Brad Delp, Was one of the truly VERY VERY BEST. ( Period )

  • Brad, you gave us more love than we could ever take...thank you forever.

  • My very first rock concert was Brad and Boston in LA, March 1st, 1979. I was 16 and he was only 27. So full of life. Boston had just about the fullest rock-n-roll guitar sound ever yet Brad's energy and stage presence was even bigger. Pure joy to see him sing. Loved to hear him sing the Beatles so well in this video! Thanks for posting it.

  • Bradley Delp was so truly talented that it was kinda' scary. A whole world will miss him forever.... and ever... and ever.

  • Man! He made it his own. To take a song that would give anyone with a heart the shivers (the good kind), and make it seem like you're hearing it for the first time. Bless you Brad, we all miss you so much.

  • At times he sounds just like Paul McCartney in this song.

I didn't know that he was in a Beatle cover band until after he died.

    They were great.

  • better than mccartney, and the most beautiful, kind blue eyes i've ever seen

  • Really brings tears to my eyes, knowing he's gone to the "big gig in the sky". He's got lots of great company though. Rock on Brad! enjoy your "Golden Slumbers".

  • this is great....Brad Delp is Boston I know...but who are the other guys?

  • Bass player is from the Fools, Drummer from Farrenheit , two others are local accomplished musicians

  • @hugobear1 Joe Haliday on Bass.

  • man, he is a really pleasant person. :( RIP

  • One of the most talented musicians ever.

  • I couldn't agree with you more. Brad was in a master class catagory of musicians. Unfortunately, I never had the privilege of seeing him perform live. R.I.P Brad.

  • his voice is better than any of the beatles. go ahead and bring on the bad thumbsies. i know i'm gonna get 'em for saying that....

  • thumbs up from me!

  • @barkpeeler2000 This is funny only because Brad is imitating, note-for-note, inflection-for-inflection, Paul McCartney in 1969. Even down to the Brit pronouncation of "Carry That Weight" with an emphasis on the "T" in "weight" like the English do. So you are saying Brad's imitation of Paul is better than Paul. :)

  • @BamBamMcSlam fair enough!

  • @barkpeeler2000 oi cunt, dont disrespect the beatles, his voice his only good in his young days, paul would fuck him with his voice anyday mate

  • @TasteMyMetal You are absolutely ridiculous.

  • @StephenHardyMusic truth hurt dont it cunt?

  • @TasteMyMetal Look how tough you sound over Youtube.

  • @TasteMyMetal good one

  • @barkpeeler2000

    By far.

  • @barkpeeler2000 i'm a huge beatles fan, especially Paul. and i have to agree. Delp at 50 is every bit as good a singer as Paul was at 23. which is saying a lot, especially since Paul's current voice is a shadow of what it once was.

  • @barkpeeler2000 highly doubtful

  • @barkpeeler2000 i dont know, i give you that his voice is better then paul's at his current age. but paul crica 1965 had one hell of a voice.

  • What a voice, Damn...

  • paul and ringo should be honored

  • Original Beatle fan here..I saw Beatlejuice twice in Salem, MA and could NOT believe how PERFECT they were at capturing the Beatles sound!! It was ABSOLUTELY amazing!! Brad Delp was phenomenal!!!

I also once saw a random high-priced "Beatles" act perform at North Shore Music Theater and those guys were not worth hearing, let alone PAYING to hear!

  • wow wow wow... his voice stayed almost exactly the same even as he aged

  • I don't know man, unless you think years and years of providing people with beautiful music is a waste of life. He has left us too soon, but he certainly gave us a lot...

  • Brad Delp, wow! what a singer & a Beatle fan!

  • What is the name of this song?

  • Golden Slumbers (carry that weight-The End)

  • Is that Dana Carvey on drums?

  • Again watching......again amazed at the video, but most of all his talent.

  • Still watching just about every night. Amazing.

  • This is a treasure....priceless.........

  • This is amazing. I saw Delp with Beatlejuice about half a year before he died... what a night

  • This explains Brad Delp a little more for me. I knew the bio on him said the Beatles were his first major influence, but I had NO IDEA how much he can sound like McCartney! When I get to heaven, I want to sit down and sing a song with the man. He's so nice, I'm sure he'll indulge me. RIP BRAD!!!

  • A masterpiece! Brad, you are sorely missed. Thank you newhamshirevideo for posting. Every time have an extra 5 minutes and think of Brad I play this clip.

  • As a Brad Delp/Boston fan, I never heard him sing a Beatle song before this and I was so surprised as to how much he sounds like Paul McCartney. When was this show, by the way?

  • I am equally blown away. Makes me miss him even more.

  • I had the pleasure of meeting Brad at a backstage concert in CT back in 1997. He was such a doll. He autographed my ticket and we took some pictures...one of which I framed along with the backstage pass, ticket, and guitar pick. His voice is a loss.

  • I never hear a bad story about Brad. Hang on to that beautiful souvenir of a wonderful memory. It's all we have left of a wonderful man.

  • I really like the guitar riff near the end of the song. Note perfect i must say.

  • I love that the kids sound so enthusiastic about the Band. Excellent! They sound awesome. I hope Brad had some fun with these performances. He was a Genius.

  • Delp sounded exactly like Paul in this clip. So unreal.

  • Great footage for the great Brad Delp doing songs from the group that was sent from Heaven!

  • This was at Salem, NH High School. Who mixed that sound? Give them a grammy!!!!!

  • Damn, I was expecting this to suck. They were great!! Can't stop watching.

  • love his voice

  • wow, even though I never officially met the man, I miss him every day. Thnaks for posting this...incredible.

  • Watch this one at least once a night!

  • I think this clip will become more and more important as time goes by. You have an important part of history here...thanks for sharing!

  • That is awesome. Great performance, great band. Delp's vocals were always are top shelf.

  • Heyyyyyy

    I'm the bassist's youngest niece

    I LOVE MY UNCLE JOE!!!

    <3 <3 <3

  • FREEKIN AWESOME!

  • I had chills up and down my spine the entire time Brad was singing Golden Slumbers, and I was near tears. By far the best Beatles cover band EVER.

  • i just watched this 3 times in a row, what and excellent video and the sound is incredible! beatlejuice is the best beatle band in the WORLD! THERE IS NO COMPARRISON. I never get sick of the music or seeing them perfom, there are not enough words to describe the feeling when you would see these guys...i continue to see them whenever i can! enjoy and thank you so much!!!!!

  • i'm crying listening andd watching this, everyday is a blessing! let's try to be better human beings and not take things or our friends and family for granted! not preaching but is't just coming from my heart. GOD BLESS. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

    LOVE...E thank you brad,joe,muzz,steve,pete,bob,dave!

  • Brad was beautiful, as a person, too look at, so gentle, what a handsome man and God, his voice is so soothing isn't it? you can FEEL the music and emotion when he sings, it gives me chills always, thank you brad! and beatlejuice! love you!

  • He sounds better than Paul himself. He made such an impact with own style that its amazing how he emulated some one else so well. The note he left after committing suicide stated that "he was a lonely soul", its too bad since so many really loved him.

  • Brad you the fuckin man!!!

  • I just wanted to thank the person that put up all of these Beatlejuice videos. I was heartbroken about the loss of Brad but even more devastated by the fact that I would never again be able to see Beatlejuice perform with Brad on lead vocals. I can't even begin to tell you how much these videos mean to me, especially because of the fact that I saw that show.

  • I have never been impressed by celebrity, have never idolized or been awestruck in the presense of one. Maybe that's what makes Brad so very special, he never seemed comfortable with it.Protecting himself from the audience behind a guitar that he rarely played. A humble person that had a tremendous gift that exceeded his vocal abilities... his gentle spirit.

    Thanks for writing,

    Bob

    New Hampshire Video

  • Holy smokes- I'm the farthest thing from a "Boston Fan" that you can find, but I'm just knocked out by Brad in this band.

  • Another classic Bob. Did they ever do "help"? Glad to see your still posting. I was getting nervous.

    Brian

  • Hi Brian,

They did do it. I have it and will try to post it for you.

    Thanks,

    Bob
