Hi, thanks for your question.

Well no, play the string as normal, and then touch it slightly with the side of your thumb, not much, you're not supose to stop the vibration compleatly. Give it a few hours to practise, and it will give you a kickass sound :)

hehe you're not the only one ;) Known this for a few years now. For most of the starters, it's harder to do this without a pick, and it's best to teach it the right way first I think, with a pick. :)

As "prietoc11" asks after a new tutorial, I'll post up a - Whammy Bar Scream/Dime bags & "Dive bombs" Tutorial this next weekend :) And I also know how to "sweep pick", so I might also upload a video tutorial for that as well. -Pk
