You can actually make great powder using just charcoal it really depends on the type of charcoal how pure it is and in what amounts you use.
I used to make a good fast burning powder using sugar and just charcoal briquettes for grilling it burned slow compared to real black powder but it released a lot of energy fast and I was able to use it in my miniature cannon safely.
@airs0ftMARIZON If your own BP is faster than this in the video, it will be possible to make salutes if you make very sturdy plugs! (they need to be way sturdier than the plugs in a salute with FP). I thought you meant this specific black powder in the video. :D
Just find a pipe, get it's bottom into the ground, wrap some powder in tinfoil with a fuse and try to launch something with it, like a tennis ball, and you'll know if it's good to lift shells.
thats really good. i also hear Balsa is good to use and easy to get. also. im goin to try spectracide with some left over mesquite powder i have left from my natural wood charcoal.
Look in the garden section of Home Depot or any hardware store. They sell it has a fungicide powder for plants, I bought a 300g can for 5 bucks and its 92 percent pure. Tested, and works like a charm.
@kovona good looking out!!!! it took me almost 2 months to get a real answer on where to get it from . . most people tell me to get it delivered from the NET but i dont need an FBI AGENT knocking on my door . . LMAO
I actually saw spectricide stump remover at wal mart yesterday while buying groceries! Must be a seasonal item, its in a new thinner rounder bottle but with the same label and the bottle is now black.
Yea without the proper sulfur triple mixture, it's kind of hard to get the best results. Ive made hundreds of mixes now, i stick with sulfur in my BP now.
oh and look you get an extremely fine penis shape black mark as a result

@airs0ftMARIZON I think you'll need faster BP than this. If you can make FP that would obviously be the best choice lol.

Sounds like a good idea to add the sulfur to the mix, since it will burn a lot more properly and will ignite a lot easier.
