  • She was 5 months pregnant! Lost the baby during filming!! Watch her waist during the yacht scenes! Multiple takes? Unable to concentrate? Never heard anything from her co-stars about caring about Her Grieving? Don't know if they were aware or cared! Can't imagine that they didn't care! Wonderul comedy!

  • its quite sad knowing that if she is still alive, she could have brighten up the whole entertainment section to the world.

its weird that most popular people die in curious ending less solution way.

    like Michael Jackson too.

  • @belliouse and there is a reason for that

  • Wow Marilyn is a good kisser! Girls better take some tips lol

  • 0:49 ADORABLE!!♥ aaww :D

  • Excellent film. I love old trailers and how blunt they are when describibg the film. "You've never laughed more at SEX or a picture about it!"

  • I just watched this tonight with my family. We laughed so hard at the end! Marilyn Monroe was such a beautiful creation! Just the way GOD made her. Jack Lemmon and Tony Curtis were hilarious together! May they all R.I.P.

  • Jack Lemmon's Best Performances:

    1. Save the Tiger (1973)

    2. Days of Wine and Roses (1962)

    3. The Apartment (1960)

    4. Some Like It Hot (1959)

    5. The Odd Couple (1968)

  • Marilyn Monroe je pobacila nakon snimanja filma Some like it hot sa Jack Lemmon /Geraldine/ i Tony Curtis /Daphe/ utjelovila je lik Sugar cane / Šećerna trska/ pokazala je sise dizajneru pederu komentirala je ironično Tonyja Curtisa koji je rekao da je ljubiti Marilyn poput hladnog špricera

  • I just watched this last night! Terrific cast, absolutely terrific. Marilyn Monroe was beautiful as ever. I loved her character; she was so adorable when she got caught drinking. The singing was wonderful, as usual. Jack Lemmon was funny as ever, completely different from my favorite movie of his, The Days of Wine and Roses. This is the first movie I've seen with Tony Curtis; it's so sad that he died. The best scene of the movie was when Marilyn tried to "cure" Tony's "condition" - fantastic!

  • My favourite comedy ever!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

  • this movie was well made...luved it totally.....

  • On the Antiques Road Show that dress was brought in, the actual one she wore in the movie. Appraised at $150,000 - $250.000. (Maybe more at auction they said)

  • marilyn was a legend i admire her so much

    love this film x

  • I am 17 and I absolutely love this movie!

  • SAN DIEGO!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAOOOAAOOOO

  • Tony Curtis was the best part of the whole movie, he pulled off the 3 different "characters" so well it was uncanny, I mean Lemmon was funny too but it was way more obvious that he was a man, like his voice was too mannish, but Curtis was just spot-on and funny and believable as hell. hahaha it really is the funniest movie of all time

  • @moviehypno23 Yes, he was Joe, and became Josephine, then Shell Junior...

And, as someone else said before me, Tony was just drop-dead gorgeous ;-)

  • the titel of the movie means simply "jazz", one of the best musical comedies;

  • RIP 2 all the 3 gem leading stars...finally the 3 had reunited in the hands of the GOD n HEAVEN haha

  • I love this movie I saw it for the first time with my mom when I was 10. and a couple years ago my highschool did a play based off this movie I was one of the girls in the band. The play was funny but nothing compares to this movie . It is a classic and it is one of my favorite movies.

  • oh why did she have to die she has this rare beauty and wonderful talent its a shame that shes is gone

  • ha, those days

  • i want to see it even though its an 50s movie

  • what a great movie

  • The last scene of this movie was priceless! Joe E. Brown in love with Jack Lemmon's character. Lemmon tells him, "I'm a guy!" And Brown answers, "Nobody's perfect!"

  • @pegcage One of the best ending scenes/lines ever.

  • R.I.P. for all of the actors.

Marilyn Monroe-Some Like it Hot Trailer

  • maybe this was the praeface of Monty Python?

  • I think you can watch it online for free b online @ MOOV ZON, COM just google for the link above

  • jack lemmon rules in this picture!

    maylin is so hot!

tony curtis and joe brown were amazing!

  • Great Wilder! He's a genius. One of the few directors, or maybe the unique who was been able to enhance Marilyn so much: she's sexy and naive / childish at the same time. Great Lemmon too!!!

  • Marilyn Monroe is truely a gem.

    She is breath taking.

I love her and admire her legacy.

Its kinda weird that marilyn couldve still been alive today.

  • Yes I agree, I can't imagine her living today too.

It is like she belong to those times, and only to those times.

  • @KeepTrue56 Also she was the hottest woman to ever be in the movies, so that's important.

  • @KeepTrue56 Yep, she'd be 84 years, 6 months, 22 days old.

  • @KeepTrue56 if she was still alive today, she wouldn't be the legend she is now

  • this is one of my fav marilyn monroe movie's :)

  • funny!

  • !~!!!

  • I saw this film not long ago (to the cinema with my class). Seriously, this is the best movie I have ever seen in my life (and I watched lots of films). I can't find it with French subtitles in streaming, it sucks ! RIP Marilyn...

  • definitely this is the funniest film ever made.

  • If she wasn't addict to drugs, sleeping pills... she'd stay alive =(.

  • I think The Apartment, Dr. Strangelove, The Ladykillers (1955), and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels are more humorous films.

  • Perhaps Dr. Strangelove, but I just don't think the screenplays for The Ladykillers and Scoundrels match the humor of Some Like It Hot.

  • I think they do, it's just that this film's status as a classic makes people defensive and makes them outrageously claim that this is the greatest comedy of all time. While I do think this is a hilariously witty film, I have certainly seen stronger comedies than these. Along with the films I have already mentioned, some superior comedies are 8 1/2, Burn After Reading, Network, Groundhog Day, Adams Family Values, Kind Hearts and Coronets, even the little known Nuns on the Run.

  • I can agree with you that it is not the greatest comedy time to label any movie as the greatest movie of all time is to say that it is better than any movie ever made in it's genre. But Some Like It Hot is ravaged so exceedingly because of it's influence on filmmaking, just as Citizen Kane influenced the world of film so heavily. I wouldn't call it the greatest of all time, but one the most important comedy films, alongside The Rules of the Game, The General, Annie Hall, and Chaplin's pictures.

  • I think you meant to say 'ravished'.

  • It is formally ranked as such! Hilarious! Jack Lemmon was one of the best comedians ever, and Marilyn Monroe ... well, she is just fabulous.

    Thanks for posting!

    Nonie

  • @WikeddTung it suure is! jack lemmon was soooo funny!

  • OMFG! she was hot hot hot damnn!

  • This is so bloody funny :L

  • This is one of my favourite movies. Some Like It Hot is really awesome, i love it! :D

  • I've seen all Marilyn's movies except the Prince and the Showgirl. My favorite one is All About Eve. Marilyn was in it.

  • ich liebe diesen film

  • marylin i sooo beutiful

  • ok does anyone know the name of the song played at the beginning and if it is on somewhere on the internet where i could download it.

  • i also wanna know

  • It's part of the movie's soundtrack - it's included on the soundtrack album. I'm not sure, but I think the song is called "Sugar Blues".

  • tony curtis in drag looks like eve arden.....but lacks the shoulder action......but why in black and white,,,,of course color processing was not cheap until the late 60's....

  • Marilyn had it in her contract that she would only do color films, but they ignored that and did it in black & white because the guys' makeup looked bad in color.

  • Is hot!

    I loved this movie!

  • Unfortunately, Marilyn was never cast properly, with compatible actors. They relied on her 'dumb blonde' roles and fame, overlooking chemistry. Aside from 'The Misfits', and perhaps 'Bus Stop', Marilyn's co-stars were miscast. She relied on her comedic timing and acting ability heavily, due to lack of repoire. Often times, she looks so uncomfortable. But she pulled it off! She was a brilliant actress. Fox truly lacked vision back then.

  • Yeah I see what your saying. thats a good point. But what about Gentlemen prefer Blondes? Marilyn Monroe and Jane Russel had amazing chemistry and played well off each other.

  • can someone please tell me the name of the song playing in the begining? 0:10

  • What proof do you have of that?

  • I have seen very few colorized films that look good. Most look cartoony.

Although the film was made in B&W because of Curtis and Lemmon's green make-up it was still filmed beautifully in Black and White. Color and B&W can be very different filmming wise, and this film looks beautiful in Black and White.

By suggesting that B&W movies must be colorized is an insult to a classic artform.

(Not that that is what you are saying, but you cannot suggest colorizing any films out of respect.)

  • Because art is art, and east is east, and west is west...

  • NO-thank you!

  • Comment removed

  • it originally was supposed to be colorized but the shots kept coming up with this green blob on it so they producers decided to put it black and white

  • Nonsense. They would fix problem like that.

Real reason it was done black and white was because in color, make up didn't those men look like women really. It works only in black and white.

Marilyn herself was upset with movie being black and white, but they had no choice, make up at that wasn't as good as todays.

  • a green blob from the guys' makeup

  • I simply love this movie!!!

  • "Oh my goodness sakes"

Min 1:25 that's they way, yes...not just by lips but by hands, arms, heart and soul...

errm ummm...."what was I researching, oh yeah, I remember?" hehehe...short sigh "okay, back on my feet"

  • I love this film. It's so funny and I love Marilyn.

  • I watched this film in labour - it was a great relief!

  • Wasn't that how you got that way to begin with!:D?

  • Hmmmm, you may have a point there! Well, it works both ways, I can vouch for that... ;)

  • this is one funny film! lol lol lol lol lol!

  • does anyone know who wrote the theme for this movie and the name of the song

  • Comment removed

  • i've heard this is really funny

  • It's a great film :)
