@Snemelk Software is part of the performance as well, if you wanna compare windows 7 to windows 7 compare 2 PC's. Mac OS X uses way less resources to run than windows does. Running windows on a Mac is retarded urea you need both OS's. For a comparison, running MAC OS X is a proper comparison

I have used Windows for about the past 5-7 years or so, and it took me a day to switch from Windows to Mac OS X and never have I been been happier using a personal computer before. I still have Windows partition installed, but I rarely use it. My computer has i5 2500K processor and 8 gigs of RAM, I can make it freeze and lag for several seconds on Windows, but never on OS X.
But in the end it comes down to personal preference.

In a year the startup time will more than double on the Acer. Unfortunately Windows makes a very good computer bad. Let's hope it gets better in Windows 8. I got my Macbook Air this summer (the 2011 one) and I think I'm never going back to a slow Windows computer again.
@oOJakkeOo Windows 7 is great. And I dont think it is any slower than OSX, probably uglier but definitely not slower. The acer in this video does not boot from a SSD and thats why it's has longer boot time; any other ultrabook with a proper SSD should do less than 20 seconds boot without any problem. It's the bloatware that make Windows bad and build quality that make Apple superior than any PC makers.
Their prices are quite close..I would choose Air..It looks better and announced earlier (should have less bug)..Keep up with good work..Acer..Some day, you can be Apple, too...

@JCMorciego Hola .. yo te recomiendo los productos apple, son de muy buena calidad .. lo malo esq las aplicaciones en su gran mayoria se disenan para windows y la acer viene con windows ... aunq ese problema lo puedes solucionar instalando una maquina virtual en la maquina apple para instalar todos los programas de windows

@listcode The macbook airs are using a lighter version of the OSx system.
But windows automaticly boot's up an entire working system in the beginning, while OSx just boot's up the parts he needs.
Install a linux distro on the acer s3, and i'll guarantee it will boot much faster then the macbook air.
in the best case scenario you could install the entire os on the ssd drive, and use the 320 gb hdd for storing your files.
